Orphaned non-free media (File:Magic Sword.png)

Thanks for uploading File:Magic Sword.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:22, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

Cynthia Cooper

Hey, sorry about that. I should have checked for the wiki rules on that first. I appreciate you posting it for me this time though. Thanks! Nickv1025 (talk) 00:14, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

AfD nomination of List of active drive-in theaters

I have nominated List of active drive-in theaters, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of active drive-in theaters. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Invitation

Hello, I noticed you've made edits to University of the Philippines (UP) and UP–related articles and thought you might want to support our recent proposal to create the WikiProject University of the Philippines. We've recently revamped the proposal and started a drive to push the approval of this project. We have a lot of articles that may be under this project and we would like assistance and support for its approval. Hope we'll have a very positive response. Go Fighting Maroons!

P.S. You can look at the preliminary drafts of the project in here. Thanks! --The Wandering TravelerWIKIPROJECT UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT! 06:27, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

You reverted me

When you reverted my edit on the Gilmore Girls, I just want to say that if you watch ABC Family that they have picked the show up, now, if you do this to someones edit, one of the administrators may block you MeteorMan7228 19:21, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

I'm rather confused — both you and Meteorman are talking about you reverting his edits, but he's never edited the page. Is he one or more of the IPs that you keep having to revert? I should note: I was the admin to whom he "reported" you. No complaints from me about your edits :-) Nyttend (talk) 04:26, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

Thanks and I'm sorry for this and if you need any help, im your guy MeteorMan7228 03:38, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

Vandalism

There was this article that was vandalised. What should i do? MeteorMan7228 01:45, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

Remember

The article that had been vandalised. it turns out, that it was an IP User and that all his edits were like Vandalism, Profanity, and on one article, he even put explicit advertising (Which by the way, no one bothered to even report) so thats why i reported him so, thank you for your help ,oh and all four of his edits were reverted --MeteorMan7228 03:11, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

DYK for Jambo! Safari

Updated DYK query On August 22, 2009, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Jambo! Safari, which you created or substantially expanded. You are welcome to check how many hits your article got while on the front page (here's how) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

Warrior Within and voluptuous buttocks

Hello and thanks for removing that nonsense from Prince of Persia: Warrior Within. I had seen that, but I was laughing too hard to do the right thing. And that's an adorable card on your user page. Also, I'd like to talk about the use of this image, which was not part of the vandalism. I added it a couple of weeks ago.

You mentioned that a shot of someone's backside is not proof of maturity but rather the opposite, and you're absolutely right. I don't know if you've played the games, so: The Sands of Time had a charming Arabian Nights storybook quality and really strong characterization. Not to mention that the female protagonist was only reasonably endowed and the game managed to make stroking another's head an act of intimacy instead of jumping into the sexpool of modern entertainment. I'd give it to my ten-year-old cousin, if I had one and if I thought that he could hack the platforming. Warrior Within is one of the most blatant cases of Darker And Edgier, a process where a franchise courts larger sales by adding blood, swears and titties. The palette is largely a mix of grey and brown, the Prince smolders with generic rage, the loading screen is a waterfall of blood and the music for classical period Middle East is provided by the heavy metal band Godsmack. The whole mess is clinched in the introduction, where the female antagonist is introduced by a six-second shot of what you see in the image. In the rain.

This change in aesthetics should definitely be noted in the article, and I find the image a good way of doing it. It sums up the more-maturity-through-less-maturity design in a way that we're unlikely to match through text, at least while maintaining neutrality and verifiability, and it establishes that for crying out loud Wikipedia wasn't kidding. This is not to deny that I find having a butt in the article hilarious. It still has good reason to be there.

If you agree, there's one thing I've struggled with: the caption. I don't want to be unfair to the game's authors, but judging from your removal, it should be clearer. Do you think that "The introduction demonstrates the maturity level of Warrior Within" would work?

(Caution: do not open other links behind that external link. The site is more addictive than we are.) --Kizor 07:32, 10 October 2009 (UTC)

Contemporary Examples of Film Montages

Per Jtalledo, the list of Contemporary examples of movie montages does not belong in the article: "Removing uncited list - Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information"

I think the article would be improved with specific examples of montages, especially given the fact that it states that they're overused. Secondly, Wikipedia does have occasional articles with long lists of examples (e.g. Fictional representations of Romani people). If it doesn't belong in the main article, then perhaps a new page, (examples of montages) should be created.Tkellner (talk) 22:37, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
