Little context in Dalva Duarte

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Dalva Duarte, by UnitedStatesian, another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Dalva Duarte is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Dalva Duarte, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Dalva Duarte itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 06:01, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Visaria

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Visaria, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of the page. AfD nomination of Visaria

[edit]

Visaria, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Visaria satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Visaria and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Visaria during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Fabrictramp (talk) 22:08, 17 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of The Green Felt Jungle

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article The Green Felt Jungle, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Novel with no assertion of notability.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.  Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 21:55, 5 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Stefan E. Warschawski

[edit]

The article Stefan E. Warschawski has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Needs assertion of notability, sources, etc.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Talk:Towelie

[edit]

Please do not use talk pages for general discussion of the topic, as you did with this edit to Talk:Towelie. Talk pages are for discussion related to improving the article, and not as a forum or chat room. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our [[WP:Reference desk|reference desk] and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. See here for more information. Your Question on the Talk Page for Virgil Sollozzo

[edit]

I thought you asked an insightful question on this page, and I have answered it. I have had a keen interest in The Godfather, the novel, for many years now, and I am very knowledgeable concerning it. I have asked your question myself. —Preceding unsigned comment added by HistoryBuff14 (talkcontribs) 20:32, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

--In case you wouldn't know it, I answered your additional questions regarding The Godfather on my own talk page where you posed them.

By the way, perhaps you can help me with Wiki mechanics. How can I delete an entire section from my talk page, please? I know how to remove the verbiage within the section by editing it out, but not how to delete the entire section, including the heading. Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.191.108.18 (talk) 19:02, 4 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

XP "Internet Security" 2010

[edit]

Please dont write comments in article space; if you have a question about an article, you should write it on the talk page of that article; anyone who's watchlisting the article is automatically going to be watchlisting the talk page as well and will see your comment. This particular article moves pretty slowly, and I dont think many people will be around to answer your question in any case, but there's no harm in asking. Soap 11:31, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

As long as you can verify the info is true, you should feel free to add to the article. Soap 19:36, 17 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Enrobing requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article consists of a dictionary definition or other article that has been transwikied to another project and the author information recorded.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. — Timneu22 · talk 15:01, 14 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Ted Manson has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. I have nominated Red Wing (actress), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Red Wing (actress). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Grondemar 16:59, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have no problem with stubs like that being created, infact the more the better! But this one had hardly any info at all (I'm suprised it wasn't speedily removed by the deletion monkeys on here). Maybe just a few extra bits to establish some essence of notabilty (eg Red Wing was an actress who appeared in 50 films). I think the end-result has been for the good! Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Jeremy Bernstein, a page you created has not been edited in at least 180 days. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace. If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it. You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements. If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13. Thank you for your attention. We almost lost White Dwarf...

[edit]

...because the initial article was (no offense) very poorly written and unsourced.[1] While it was seen that the prodded version had issues, they were addressable. Point here being that it is always good to begin work on an article over at WP:AFC or a personal sandbox. As multiple sources existed, the the article has been expanded and sourced through regular editing. I encourage you to review a few essays intended for those creating articles: WP:Article wizard, WP:Your first article... and my personal one-stop-shop for new authors... WP:PRIMER. For film articles, you will find MOS:FILM very instructive.Best regards, Schmidt, Michael Q. 04:18, 12 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your article submission Jeremy Bernstein

[edit]

Hello Jrm2007. It has been over six months since you last edited your article submission, entitled Jeremy Bernstein.

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Jeremy Bernstein}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Rankersbo (talk) 20:36, 15 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Visaria, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Three Rivers. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Uncivil Behavior

[edit]

Hey there, just came across this during some work I was handling. Wanted to just drop a line and say that the language/tone you used here was neither appropriate nor constructive. Remember the key tenets of Wikipedia's etiquette policy, namely to always assume good faith and to be polite. Try to help out a misguided editor rather than tell them that they "better respond quick" before you are "going to probably report [their] vandalism". It will help them and help promote Wikipedia's positive and open culture. Appreciate your contributions! --Slazenger (Contact Me) 08:06, 21 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
