Lynn Williams Peer Review

A lot of good information in this article and you're off to a good start. Colby uses a lot of good vocabulary. There is a few structural issues with the writing due to the lack of categories and subheads. It looks like one large paragraph with just a lot of information. It appears that you didn't use any hyperlinks when referring to other terms relevant to Latin America. I feel like hyperlinks would be extremely helpful when discussing things like the Atlantic Slave Trade. Citations are a bit off. The sources are there but for some reason the sources don't look complete. The info you have here is very helpful and the skeleton is there just work on the structural issues and organization. Hyperlink more sources and review your sources again.

Colby: I think you should think about how you're going to structure the article as you revise. What sub-sections will you use as you get more in-depth? Right now, it's sort of a general reflection on race without much of clear direction. And you don't talk about class that much, even though the article says it's about class (i.e. economic status). This seems like a mis-match issue that you need to think about. What sections will you break out? Government policy towards race? Popular attitudes about race? I think the article will be more successful if you also include some historical components--will you talk about the legacy of slavery as one section, for instance? Feel free to meet with me to discuss.Cz17 (talk) 16:36, 3 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
