License tagging for File:Chamrousse-1970.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Chamrousse-1970.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. Your image uploads
[edit]Hi. I have noticed that you have uploaded a lot of images and would like to take a minute to ask you a few questions about them. I notice that you have stated that you are the author/copyright holder of these images. Do you mean by this, that in each case, you, personally, clicked the button on the camera that took the picture? Merely scanning in the work of another or clipping an article from the newspaper does not give you the right to redistribute it. Also, for things like File:2005 Robert-Wickens-email-Christian-Boudon .jpg or File:1988 New-Racing-Concept 20.jpg, the copyright belongs to whoever wrote the letter, not to the person in physical possession of it. Do you have the permission of the individuals who wrote the letters to upload them here? I notice that File:2009 Boudon-Mertins-Atlantic .jpg was previously published at http://www.kartmag.fr/apprendre-la-course-automobile-avec-christian-boudon/ . As a matter of policy, Wikipedia must have a statement of permission on file in order to keep any image that was previously published elsewhere. This is for your protection - it prevents someone from falsely claiming to "donate" your photos to Wikipedia. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information. The short version is that if you could send a letter to permissions-en@wikimedia.org with a letter similar to Wikipedia:Declaration of consent for all enquiries (1) telling who you are and, if applicable, who you are working for, (2) affirming that you are the copyright holder (or, if working for an organization that owns the copyright, affirming that they are the copyright holder and you have legal authority to speak on their behalf), and (3) stating that you agree to the terms of the license you have chosen, it would be appreciated. I realize that this may be very confusing, but again, please understand that it is because Wikipedia respects intellectual property and copyright and wants to ensure that your rights are protected by preventing someone from falsely submitting your intellectual property here. Thank you and please feel free to contact me with any questions you have. --B (talk) 12:06, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for your reply on my talk page. If you can send a letter similar to the one suggested at Wikipedia:Declaration of consent for all enquiries to permissions-en@wikimedia.org affirming that you have the legal rights you mentioned, that permission will be kept on file and someone with m:OTRS access will "tag" the image pages with a note letting Wikipedia administrators know that the copyright has been verified. Thanks. --B (talk) 14:31, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
Dear Sirs, all the images or documents I am publishing here are from the personal archives of Christian Boudon. The pictures are by him, myself or his family, father, mother, wife and daugther. Christian Boudon gave me all the right to publish and make this Wikipedia article. The email from Robert Wickens is the original in Boudon email archives, and Wickens wrote it as an aknowledgement with the right to use it the way he needed. The New Racing document is written by Boudon when he was the owner of New Racing concept. The picture 2009 Boudon-Mertins-Atlantic is from Boudon's wife from Laguna Seca Mertins Atlantic race. I have from Boudon the right to use and publish on Wikipedia all documents and pictures that are his own. Thank you for keeping track on my work, I want to stay by the rules of Wikipedia and might make mistakes (which I did with the forget copyright pictures at the beginning!!!).Jp..baudrand (talk) 14:52, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
- By the way, I'm one person - nicknamed "B", not "sirs". ;) --B (talk) 15:19, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
Very nice to meet you "B", and thank you again for looking at my work...I have been lucky to work with Christian since 1987 and have followed him to USA as well, and consider it's a real opportunity to have him known by the community for his huge contribution to all the young talents he has matured, as well as for the confirmed champions he is still helping.Jp..baudrand (talk) 15:32, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
Hello "B", the email was sent yesterday : From: Baudrand jp To: permissions-en@wikimedia.org Sent: Thursday, July 14, 2011 5:56 PM Subject: jp..baudrand I hereby affirm that I, Jean Philippe Baudrand am the creator and/or sole owner of the exclusive copyright of: - The Robert Wickens email http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/File:2005_Robert-Wickens-email-Christian-Boudon_.jpg was sent by Wickens to Christian Boudon as an acknowledgement with right to use it the way he wanted and Christian Boudon gave it to me as a part of his archives with the right to publish - The New Racing document http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/File:1988_New-Racing-Concept_20.jpg was written by Christian Boudon when he was the owner of this company, and he gave it to me as a part of his archives with the right to publish. - The 2009 Boudon-Mertins-Atlantic http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/File:2009_Boudon-Mertins-Atlantic_.jpg was taken by Boudon’s wife in Laguna Seca after Mertins race and Christian Boudon gave it to me as a part of his archives with the right to publish. He used this picture in other different articles but this picture is his. I agree to publish that work under the free license “Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0” (unported) and GNU Free Documentation Licence (unversioned, with no invariant sections, front-cover texts, or back-cover texts). I acknowledge that by doing so I grant anyone the right to use the work in a commercial product or otherwise, and to modify it according to their needs, provided that they abide by the terms of the license and any other applicable laws. I am aware that I always retain copyright of my work, and retain the right to be attributed in accordance with the license chosen. Modifications others make to the work will not be attributed to me. I acknowledge that I cannot withdraw this agreement and that the content may or may not be kept permanently on a Wikimedia project. Jean Philippe Baudrand Copyright-holder ___AND the three documents are still signed like not correct...is there any worries.Jp..baudrand (talk) 19:32, 15 July 2011 (UTC)
Can OTRS delete 3 documents/pictures I uploaded the wrong way?
[edit]The 3 following documents pictures need to be deleted by OTRS please...many thanks in advance:
- The Robert Wickens email http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/File:2005_Robert-Wickens-email-Christian-Boudon_.jpg was sent by Wickens to Christian Boudon as an acknowledgement with right to use it the way he wanted and Christian Boudon gave it to me as a part of his archives with the right to publish. I am presently working at Mr. Boudon office and have the original email from Robert Wickens saved in his external hard disk. If the copyright cannot be established can you please delete this picture from the web to not disturb Mr. Robert Wickens Formula 1 driver?
- The New Racing document http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/File:1988_New-Racing-Concept_20.jpg was written by Christian Boudon when he was the owner of this company, and he gave it to me as a part of his archives with the right to publish. As you can see Mr. Christian Boudon is named in the second paragraph, second line as the owner of the New Racing Concept Company that would be glad to receive customers...The document contain as well the official SIREN #, that document cannot be more explicit... If the copyright cannot be established can you please delete this picture from the web to avoid any use of this official document?
- The 2009 Boudon-Mertins-Atlantic http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/File:2009_Boudon-Mertins-Atlantic_.jpg was taken by Boudon’s wife in Laguna Seca after Mertins race and Christian Boudon gave it to me as a part of his archives with the right to publish. He used this picture in other different articles but this picture is his. Mr. Boudon sent that picture to help an article in a French magazine. If the copyright cannot be established can you please delete this picture from the web?.Jp..baudrand (talk) 14:40, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
- Done FYI, most likely, nobody from OTRS is monitoring your talk page. If you want to ask that an image you uploaded be deleted, the easiest way is to add {{db-g7}} to the image. That "tags" the image for CSD|speedy deletion and an administrator will usually delete it within 24 hours. --B (talk) 15:10, 26 July 2011 (UTC)
Hi. You asked for my comments about your article. As you can see, I have fixed some formatting issues to be more in line with Wikipedia standards. I have several suggestions for you before the article is ready:
- First and foremost, the article needs to include proper references. All claims on Wikipedia must be attributed to a reliable source and, in particular, the significance or "notability" of this individual needs to be established by demonstrating that he is covered in reliable sources external to himself. Is his racing career covered in newspapers or magazines? Do business journals cover his company? Under the (relatively) new BLPPROD rule, all biographies of living persons that do not site sources are subject to summary deletion. Please understand that the vast majority of people and companies on the planet are not appropriate subjects for inclusion in Wikipedia and the article needs to establish through the use of appropriate references that this person is significant. Additionally, original research, meaning, information that you know based on your connection to the person, but which is not published, is not appropriate for inclusion. Every claim you make needs to be backed up with a reference. If the article were published as it is, it is an absolute certainty that it would be deleted almost immediately.
- The second on the CCB Group is purely an advertisement and not appropriate as it is.
- Images, in general, should be displayed in thumbnail boxes, with the caption coming inside the box, not under the image. Wikipedia:Images gives examples of how to do this. I did the first few, but you will need to do the rest. Keep in mind that Wikipedia articles are published in other places (books, other websites, mobile readers, etc), so it is important that formatting be consistent.
I hope this helps. --B (talk) 15:05, 26 July 2011 (UTC)
File permission problem with File:2000-B C advertising 10.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:2000-B C advertising 10.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 22:01, 13 November 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:1985-1986 JR-CB-F-Renault-race .jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:1985-1986 JR-CB-F-Renault-race .jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you think that your page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
