[edit]Hello, I'm Luke Elaine Burke. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to South Africa have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. L.E. Rainer 16:03, 9 December 2024 (UTC)
- I am an assiduous copy editor. I never edit for substance but only for flow, syntax, punctuation, and usage. Jotaharder (talk) 16:12, 9 December 2024 (UTC)

Minor edits
[edit]Hi Jotaharder, I noticed you've been marking most of your copyedits as minor. While it's common for new editors to assume all small edits are minor (I did the same thing when I started), WP:MINOR indicates only certain types of edits should be flagged like this. In most cases, there should be minimal change in article text compared to its last good version.
E.g. Special:Diff/1259288799 is a minor edit. Special:Diff/1262138399 (while a helpful edit, with a good edit summary) is borderline, as a change in wording could perhaps spark disagreement. Edits like Special:Diff/1259289974 that add or remove content should never be marked as minor — instead, they should have a short edit summary explaining what's been removed and why. - Thanks so much for the feedback. I’ll follow this guidance going forward! Jotaharder (talk) 18:46, 10 December 2024 (UTC)
