Teahouse

[edit]

Hello Josy R,

I appreciate your effort to help out at the Teahouse. However, it looks like you only have 42 edits to Wikipedia. That is not nearly enough edits to begin answering questions at the Teahouse. Your first attempt got the IP editor upset. So please spend some time studying our policies and guidelines, and realize that our purpose as Teahouse hosts is to be friendly and helpful to new editors. Thanks for your understanding. Hi Cullen,
I am sorry my reply got that editor upset, and I will certainly avoid that page in the future.
Being accused of being "condescending" or even "uncivil" when you really were not is not such a pleasant experience either. I tried to clarify things in my second contribution, but my impression was that this user was hearing something I wasn't saying.
BTW, considering how adept this IP editor was at immediately finding that "hide" template, I find it hard to think of him as such a new editor. --Josy (talk) 07:51, 29 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You may also be interested to know that this "new" IP editor has apparently been following me now and undid my edit in an article that has not a single source except for the company website. --Josy (talk) 08:00, 29 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You were correct to remove the multiple tags on each section. The IP was correct to change the tag at the top of the page. It appears that neither of you tried to add references to independent sources to the article, which of course would have been the best outcome. Help with review of a draft and final publishing of the article

[edit]

Hello there, I was trying to publish an article about this Indian celebrity Draft:Shantanu Maheshwari. I made the changes that were suggested, in a more formal tone. Could you please be kind enough to review how to improve it and help to get it published? I'm new around here and found you on the Wikipedia Teahouse talk page. Tried to get some help there but haven't received any response there yet. I'll be glad if you can help me out as soon as possible. The sources mentioned in the draft are published, reliable, recognized and independent in India. There seems to be a citations issue, which I couldn't figure out. The article has been in the making for quite some time and would really appreciate any help on getting it published. Looking forward to hearing from you. Warm Regards. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Phosphenes296 (talkcontribs) 18:13, 30 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
