Deletion

[edit]

I submitted the article for deletion as it does not appear the subject meets the guidelines for inclusion of a biography in this encyclopedia. See here for the guidelines. If you believe it does, then change the article to clearly state the significance of the subject, and try to list independent sources to verify this importance. You may argue on the deletion nomination page for the article to be kept, and other users will consider your case. Pleased do remember that this is an encyclopedia, and need to be written in a neutral tone - listing the importance of the day someone was born, isn't likely to be considered encyclopedic. I hope that helps.--Docg 10:51, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Odette Krempin

[edit]

An editor has nominated Odette Krempin, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Odette Krempin and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 10:59, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Page to be modified real soon

[edit]

Okay, the article has been "modified" by other people, not just me. That's why the original content is as it is. I will do my best and organize it better in the next few days.jose ugs (talk) 11:07, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

pic

[edit]

Please stop messin with the pic and adding copy vio pics , where have you got this recent picture from? Off2riorob (talk) 21:39, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

From Odette Krempin herself and i'm going to put a new one there, copyright is nothing when it's a personal photo-shoot. Or would you like to put the original 20mpix image to prove i have the raw camera image? (jose ugs (talk) 21:43, 3 September 2010 (UTC))[reply]

Copyright is everything here and very important, your uploads appear to keep being deleted. Pictures taken usually copyright to the photographer. If you have the digital photo that is at least a sign of something and helpful. Have you taken the photograph, if a picture was given to you how do you know the copyright status of the pic? Off2riorob (talk) 21:47, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, please help me do it the Wikipedia way as it seems i'm not getting it quite right. I have two images, given to me be the person and i would like to put them in the english & german versions of her "page" for sake of being up to date at least with her personal photo (not to talk about the rest of the info on this "page"). Now, the images of course come from a pro-photographer who has the copyright. So how do i do it the Wikipedia way? (jose ugs (talk) 21:55, 3 September 2010 (UTC))[reply]

For such pictures you would need confirmation from the photographer that he releases the picture on a commons suitable license. If you are close to her, why not take a picture of her yourself and then you own the copyright and you can release it and upload it. Off2riorob (talk) 21:58, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
My God ... it ain't getting any easier than that. 2 years ago when i started the page i had this image that i took myself, that's trimmed btw right now ... how do you know i took the picture myself? (jose ugs (talk) 22:06, 3 September 2010 (UTC))[reply]
Well, sometimes good faith seems to apply in such cases, Pictures that were professionally taken are quite obvious and for others a search of the Internet usually finds them at another location. Off2riorob (talk) 22:12, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yeppp, i'm a photographer myself, but can't take that picture right now - because i'm some 4000km from Ffm. How do you have a picture released on a commons suitable license? jose ugs (talk) 22:16, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
When you upload them to commons you simply choose the license as you so desire, if it belongs to you that is. This might help explain Creative_Commons_licenses. Off2riorob (talk) 22:20, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
This one on your flickr account is arguably better that the one we have, shame about the hat though, we could crop that pic to her face only. Clicking on the license there show you have that one with this commons compatable licence. Off2riorob (talk) 22:24, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
