2011 federal census paragraphs

[edit]

It appears you just registered. Perhaps you are the same person that edited under IP address 99.238.76.106. Per my message at User talk:99.238.76.106#2011 federal census paragraphs:

Hi, it appears you are doing some good work on here. When updating municipality articles with outdated census demographics, at minimum please retain the paragraph that is repeatedly the most sought after information from the second most recent census - the summary of population and dwelling counts. In Alberta municipalities articles, every municipality has at least two paragraphs - one that summarizes the most recent federal census results and one that summarizes the previous federal census results. Having both allows comparison of how the most recent five-year growth period compares to the previous five-year growth period. Removal of the 2011 federal census population and dwelling count summary paragraphs, such as you did for at least two municipalities that I have noticed so far (Red Deer, Alberta and Lethbridge), results in their Demographics sections being inconsistent with the approximate 350 other Alberta municipality articles. Thank you.

I have since returned the paragraph you deleted at Grande Prairie. Cheers, Hwy43 (talk) 08:20, 18 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'll keep it real with you I'm just a 20 year old insomniac who's just trying to pass the time when unable to sleep. My knowledge of what stuff from previous censuses is important was more or less non existent until this second. I'll keep it in mind if I keep doing this, thanks for the heads up. I may just end up getting better sleeping meds though. also I'm not sure if that IP was me... I've had this account for a good stretch if I remember correctly and I don't remember logging out and logging back in but stranger things have happened. Memory does funny things when you don't sleep. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jortsmaster5000 (talkcontribs)

well i'll be damned... i could have sworn i'd made this account a couple months ago and never used it. maybe i made a different account and forgot the password, promting me to make a new one in a sleep-deprived stupor. no memory of that whatsoever. anyway that first one looks like it was probably me, i vaguely remember working on some of those cities so i guess i WAS logged out at some point. OH YEAH i just remembered i had to recover my password for this one after i realized i wasn't logged in. huh.
