Jordan, these are good links to Wikipedia policies, procedures, conventions (lots of those!), and resources. Please take a quick look at the "five pillars", and also the WP:NPOV ("neutral point of view"). And remember to sign your Talk page posts with the "four tildes". ~ J. - Jordan: what this means is that there are some copyright problems with the image you uploaded. Wikipedia has some very strict rules on what kinds of images can be used. If they are not fully "free" (excluding everything with a non-commercial, educational, or personal-use only restriction) they generally cannot be used. There is a special provision for "non-free" images, but these are limited to certain uses, and require special justification. Unless and until you are ready to dive into such intricacies I recommend that you stick with the entirely free stuff. Unfortunately, this probably eliminates the book cover you have in mind. It would be simplest (and easiest all around) if you could stay with the existing book cover image. ~ J. Johnson (JJ) (talk) 21:30, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
