Notification

[edit]
This message contains important information about an administrative situation on Wikipedia. It does not imply any misconduct regarding your own contributions to date.

Please carefully read this information:

The Arbitration Committee has authorised discretionary sanctions to be used for pages regarding the Arab–Israeli conflict, a topic which you have edited. The Committee's decision is here.

Discretionary sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimize disruption to controversial topics. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to the topic that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behavior, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. This message is to notify you sanctions are authorised for the topic you are editing. Before continuing to edit this topic, please familiarise yourself with the discretionary sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.

In addition, as a result of a recent ruling, all anonymous IP editors and accounts with less than 500 edits and 30 days tenure are prohibited from editing any page that could be reasonably construed as being related to the Arab-Israeli conflict. RolandR (talk) 23:40, 3 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Linda Sarsour – Bari Weiss

[edit]

Greetings. please note that the burden to achieve consensus is on the editor seeking to include disputed material. Continuing to reinstate contentious material without a clear consensus can be viewed as edit warring and may result in an account being blocked. If talk page discussions reach an impasse, the proper thing to do is to seek dispute resolution. —Sangdeboeuf (talk) 22:23, 8 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. Proper consensus was achieved prior to posting, and my entry concerning Weiss was reinserted and refined by others not me, notwithstanding your prior 3RR violation. Jonmayer18 (talk) 23:02, 10 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
