Categories
[edit]Hello. Regarding this recent edit of yours, I noticed you attempted to add an item directly to a category page.
In Wikipedia, we do not add items to a category by editing the category page, we add them by editing the individual articles' pages and linking the category from there. For newer editors, it's understandably a counter-intuitive system.
Category pages are not intended to be exhaustive lists; in fact, they are not lists at all. Categories are navigation aids. They are merely groupings of related, existing English Wikipedia pages.
To categorize a page, you must go to the page you wish to categorize and add the category at the bottom of the page with the other categories, first making sure the page actually belongs to the category. Unfortunately in this case, it appears McDew Farms has no Wikipedia article, so what you are trying to do is impossible until the article is created.
Please read Wikipedia:Categorization and Help:Category for more information and clarification.
Let me know if you need assistance or have any questions. Thank you and have a great day! DB1729 (talk) 15:12, 17 September 2021 (UTC)
