License tagging for Image:Nzo.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Nzo.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 03:39, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Leila deen
[edit]A tag has been placed on Leila deen requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ╟─TreasuryTag►contribs─╢ 15:45, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of O.o adewoye
[edit]A tag has been placed on O.o adewoye requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

[edit]The recent edit you made has been reverted, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 18:13, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. One or more of the external links you added in this edit to the page Sunny Ade-Discography do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. You may wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. Alexius08 (talk) 13:07, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
Any reasoning for why you've removed all references to the contoversy around Oluwole Rotimi's removal? These things are best discussed on the talk page of the article in question. There's actually a common "warning" template here on Wikipedia for removal of referenced material without reason or discussion. Please take a look at WP:NPOV for our guidelines on Neutral Point Of View reporting before making further edits. T L Miles (talk) 15:58, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
File source problem with File:Dele -giw body.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Dele -giw body.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 12:55, 29 May 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. J Milburn (talk) 12:55, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

Re:Dele Giwa
[edit]"Pretty much in the public domain" doesn't count for anything, I'm afraid. Unless the images are under a free license for whatever reason, we cannot use them unless they meet our very strict guidelines for non-free content. J Milburn (talk) 17:45, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

Page titles
[edit]Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Asaba massacre a different title by copying its content and pasting it into Asaba Massacre. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other articles that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. Concerning Jackobillia
[edit]Please list your sources. Your article is not currently meeting the notability guidelines. I can not even find a relevant search of Google about your topic. I suggest maybe taking some of that information and expand it on the Michael Jackson article. Failure to cite may constitute a speedy deletion of your article.-- Dspradau → talk 15:03, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

Articles for deletion nomination of Jackobillia
[edit]I have nominated Jackobillia, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jackobillia. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. PhantomSteve (Contact Me, My Contribs) 07:22, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
- I note that you have still not put forward any argument on the discussion page for the Deletion proposal. May I politely suggest that you do so, as at the moment all the arguments are for deleting the article. I have copied the statement you made on the article's talk page, just in case you don't get a chance to do so yourself, but if you wish the article to remain on wikipedia, you need to provide arguments using Wikipedia's reasons for deletion of articles as a guide. Thank you! PhantomSteve (Contact Me, My Contribs) 12:55, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you for your recent comment on my talk pages. I think I need to make two points:
- You still have not commented on the Deletion proposal (see my previous message here) - I will not make the decision, but the decision will be based on what is said there - and no one has said anything in favour of keeping the article. You really need to comment there.
- Whether it is as important to fans (and collectors) as you say or not is not relevant - it is not sufficiently notable to warrant inclusion as an article on Wikipedia.
- As to merging it to the main Michael Jackson article - it may be suitable to add a single sentence (perhaps about the estimate value of Jackson memorabilia, citing a reliable third-party source) under the Legacy and Influence section, but that may or may not be deleted if put there! It certainly would not warrant further mention than that - rock/pop memorabilia always consists of the items you listed as examples of Jackobilia.
- Moving the page to the correct spelling would not stop the Deletion Proposal - although I see that it received a Proposed Deletion on it anyway!
Hope this helps PhantomSteve (Contact Me, My Contribs) 15:55, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
- Please do not leave me (other other editors) messages about why the page should not be deleted.
Please read this carefully:
If you want to prevent the article from being deleted, you need to leave a comment at Articles for Deletion - Jackobillia - your comments may not prevent it being deleted, but if you do not comment at all (and no one else comments as to why it should be kept), then the article would almost certainly get deleted within the next few days.
So far, you have left no message there to explain why it should not be deleted - and that's the place to do it. So far, the only positive comment in favour of not deleting the article is where I quoted what you said on the article's talk page. You need to make a comment there, to persuade editors and admins that the article should not be deleted. DO NOT leave messages on individual editors' talk pages - this will not influence the discussion at all.
With regard to the hits on Google - apart from ones which are links to the wikipedia article, most of them are either a copy of the press release Michael Jackson released when he first decided to auction some of his property or the one when he decided not to (which counts as 2 references at most), or blogs. None of these are reliable. PhantomSteve (Contact Me, My Contribs) 15:05, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello Jomoal99! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 42 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:
