Spam

[edit]

Please do not add commercial links or links to your own private websites to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links to the encyclopedia. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. --Bri 06:30, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding commercial or personal-website links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming, and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising. Thanks. --Bri 12:56, 16 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
"I haven't added any spam! The last thing I put up was a quote in a Scratch Acid article from a public article in a weekly newspaper. It didn't go to any commercial or personal site. Since your last message I haven't put up anything in the Links or References section, just content itself as you described."

It's fairly obvious what you're doing. Systematically going through wikipedia and adding links, mentions, quotations and citations of articles that you yourself have written is considered linkspam, and (aside from being grossly unethical) is against wikipedia policy. Sorry, but wikipedia is not a vehicle to promote your career in journalism. --Bri 00:55, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Removing warnings from this talk page

[edit]

Please stop. If you continue to remove legitimate warning messages from your talk page, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --Konstable 05:36, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
