FFS "The Beast" page ended up being created three years later and the band is still notable 10 years later.

having my first article that I worked hard to get right speed-deleted by a power tripping mod was the main reason I didn't keep volunteering my time on similar efforts.

Speedy deletion of The Beast (band)

[edit]

A tag has been placed on The Beast (band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you.    SIS  23:05, 12 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Alarmist note

[edit]

...from this, "this is one of the many wikipedia articles referenced by the New Zealand terrorist who killed about 50 people yesterday (3/14/18). It's probably going to get bombed by white nationalists and such pretty soon and should probably be locked. That being said, the edit history on this article will probably already include such individuals. All the white-nationalist related articles linked in his manifesto, especially on page 31 https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/5770516-The-Great-Replacement-New-Zealand-Shooter.html should be checked to see if they have been modified with a white nationalist or facist political bent recently. • If you would have checked the article history, you would see that it hasn't been edited in months. Also, the link you supplied doesn't work. We also do not preemptively lock pages. Instead of dropping the alarmist note on an article talk page, you check the history of any articles and then report any white supremacists that you happen to find to ANI. Dropping a note like that on a talk page is inviting more trouble and doesn't solve anything.
