YES I HAVE THE ORIGINAL SLEEVE OF THE FILM WITH THE QUOTES ATTACHED -WHERE CAN I E-MAIL THEM?

john

the film featured heavily in Max Power magazine and also Car magazine, BBC Top Gear, Evo Magazine - its a car entertainment show - it was not in fact a documentary someone at wikipedia changed that - it is a car format

the film also premiered at the Aviemore Mointain Film Festival and was nominated for a prize - the film features several mountain ranges

John Matthews is a famous car film maker in the UK and has been BAFTA longlised and Nominated for a Grierson Award for his film Deadliest Crash - this is all bona fide

I was barred for in fact telling the truth - i have edited other pages and have not been stopped as with The Grand Tour

it is factually correct that The Grand Tour, a UK production was not in fact the first car entertainment show of that name - the first was in fact Grand Tour and the 1st edition was a tour of Europe - Jim White of the Daily Telegraph, a columinist, can vouch for all of this

he said in a tweet recently - 'The original Grand Tour long before Clarkson pinched the title..' - his twitter feed is here https://twitter.com/jimw1

the original tweet is here - 'Original GRAND TOUR before Clarkson pinched the title' Jim White on Nov 17th

Jim is a top journalist and has followed John's career closely

the film was also sent to the office of BBC Top Gear magazine as John knew some of the production team - Grand Tour [2005/6] was in fact the first film of its kind to do a fun road trip - the idea has been copied many times since but this was a first

this is all bona fide

John has been barred for many months having tried and failed to correct an error on wikipedia that does not cite that GRAND TOUR - a car entertainment factual format was originally made in Manchester in 2005

Information icon Hello, I'm Sladen. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to The Grand Tour (TV series) have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Your recent editing history at The Grand Tour (TV series) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. —Sladen (talk) 10:57, 27 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The previous attempt at creating an article appears to have been at Grand Tour (2006 documentary). The page at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Grand Tour (2006 documentary) notes that there was difficulty in locating references (eg. newspaper article coverage). The ideal would be to focus effort on locating good independent source material to use as citations. —Sladen (talk) 16:41, 27 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

John L Matthews, do you have copies/press cuttings of the reviews in Max Power, Car magazine, BBC Top Gear magazine, Evo Magazine? —Sladen (talk) 08:06, 28 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
