Religions in biographical articles.

[edit]

Hello. Based from your contributions, you have been very fond of updating articles about living persons' religion in the infobox, even though most of them are not supported by reliable sources. According to WP:BLPCAT:

In the case of adding religions in the infobox, we normally don't put their religion in the infobox anymore, based on a consensus between editors that religion in the infobox should be left out. Rather, their religion (or lack thereof) should be covered in the article, usually under the "Personal life" section of biographical articles.

For instance, in the Liza Soberano article, Soberano acknowledges being a member of the Catholic Church since her baptism and confirmation has gotten coverage by ABS-CBN News and Philippine Entertainment Portal. Therefore, her being a Roman Catholic can be covered under her "early and personal life" since she admits being Catholic.

You can read more about the discussion leaving religions out of infoboxes here: [1]. In a nutshell, you must refrain from adding the "religion" parameter in the infobox in the future; those are reserved for biographies about priests, nuns, or any members of organized religions. And please, try to cite reliable sources to support such claims, and that goes to any content that you're planning to add in a Wikipedia article. matieszyn (talk) 11:39, 23 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
