Re : Synovate

You'd need something more reliable to back up the claim - whocalled.us is based on user contributions and might look rather flimsy to other editors. - Best regards, Mailer Diablo (talk) 21:49, 29 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Dnalc

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Dnalc requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. TallNapoleon (talk) 14:45, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi -- I think most of us agree that the topic you've introduced belongs in the article, but not with the way you've added it. We need to settle this on the talk page, not by edit-warring in the article. I've started a discussion on the talk page -- please contribute to it. Please see WP:MEDRS, WP:RECENTISM, WP:NOTNEWS and WP:COI; recent primary studies (not reviewed by high quality secondary sources) are not used to reference medical articles on Wikipedia. [1] SandyGeorgia (Talk) 16:22, 16 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Hakon Hakonarson, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Depression. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Are you a paid editor with a conflict of interest?

[edit]
Information icon

Hello Joconnol. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Joconnol. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Joconnol|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 10:45, 4 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for contacting me. I am not compensated, nor ever have been, for edits. I have contributed on a broad range of topics over the years and post on things I have an interest in, and some knowledge of.--Joconnol (talk) 15:26, 5 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
