[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Sharon Davson has been reverted.
Your edit here to Sharon Davson was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YbWGOgfjL3I) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Sharon Davson
[edit]Hi. I'm sending this message out to recent major contributors on the article about Sharon Davson. Please keep in mind that it must adhere to the policy on biographies on living people, as well as other policies and guidelines such as the one on external links, neutrality and reliable sources just to mention a few. The article was mostly based on self-published sources, or sources that couldn't verify the content. In addition there was a list of external links that didn't belong, as most of them were trivial mentions with little importance. In addition it had a very promotional and exaggerating tone, so I have removed quite a bit of the article. If you are a major contributor to an article you should also not remove maintenance templates, but rather have outside editors review the article and see if the issues have been resolved. Feel free to ask if you have any questions or comments; preferably on my talkpage. Bjelleklang - talk 00:01, 19 January 2015 (UTC)
- Hi. I saw that you reverted my edits to this article. We cannot use self-published or biased sources as basis for statements such as "She was the first President of the new College of Art Student Union"; "An expansive retrospective collection (65 works 1972-1999) of her art titled "Davson - With Gratitude For The Light" toured in four states of Australia for the three years". You also cannot state things that are not backed by sources; such as "Davson was also a significant Sponsor of the Middle East Peace Run"; when both sources used only state that she was a donor to the event. There is also seems to be a bit of a specific point-of-view in this article, and it looks more like a promotional piece than an encyclopedic article. Please keep in mind that the significance of Wikipedia only exists because editors try to keep the information neutral and not biased towards a specific view.
- As for the external links section; please stop flooding it with links. If some of them can be used as sources; great! If not, they shouldn't be there with some exceptions. Linking to the website for her as an artist and her museum is fine, but other than that we should avoid having links there at all unless they are very relevant.
- Based on your removal of the maintenance templates, edit summaries ((...)malicious attact, Attempt to discredit with very outdated information) and your refusal to take good advice regarding the article I suspect that you have a conflict of interest in this article. I have reverted your edits; please review the policy on biographies before doing anything to the article. Refusal to abide with Wikipedia policies and guidelines will result in you being blocked, and thus being unable to edit at all. Bjelleklang - talk 08:03, 19 January 2015 (UTC)
