The article List of films and TV series set in the Interwar period has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- The premise seems illogical to me. "Films set in the 1910s, 1920s, 1930s, etc." would make more sense. Many of them had nothing to do with the two world wars.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Kitfoxxe (talk) 17:44, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
Status and Advice
[edit]As reviewing administrator, What I did was to move the list just as suggested to List of films and TV series set in the 1920s. I suggest that after you do similar lists for other centruies, you then do a disambiguation page of some sort, or a box listing them all. Even the present list may not satisfy some Wikipedians, however, be prepared to defend it at afd. You say is prepared automatically--perhaps it would be better as a proper sortable table showing title, year(s) referred to, year released, and director, along with a reference for each film. I think that would easily stand. DGG ( talk ) 01:55, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
