License tagging for File:Welcome to smithton.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Welcome to smithton.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 23:05, 25 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Smithton pic

[edit]

I didn't do much to the pic. I just moved it to the infobox. For examples of other places with pics in the infobox please see, South Williamsport, Pennsylvania and Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. I am trying to get a pic in every infobox of every municipality in Pennsylvania. So if you have any others to add, please do so. Dincher (talk) 19:22, 3 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File:Larimer avenue bridge.jpg

[edit]

For File:Larimer avenue bridge.jpg you will have to determine when the picture was published. It is very likely that it was, and then check with Wikipedia:Public domain#Artworks to see if any criteria apply. It is fairly likely that the picture was published before 1964 in something that did not renew copyright, such as a museum catalog. If you can demonstrate this the image can be included. I found out the Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh has the painting. Therefore, they have the copyright, no?Jmz1902 (talk) 15:03, 4 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
