A tag has been placed on Joseph Fraunhofer Award/Robert M. Burley Prize requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.osa.org/en-us/awards_and_grants/awards/award_description/fraunhoferburley/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. The Optical Society

Hi! If I've read the notice here correctly, you are a public relations manager for The Optical Society, and have made a real effort to be transparent about that. Thank you – an awful lot of people don't trouble to make that kind of declaration at all.

Please don't be alarmed, but I have moved the various articles you've created into draft space (I'll list them below in a minute). I've done that for two reasons: the first is that, even with a proper declaration of conflict of interest, you really shouldn't be editing or creating articles relating to your employer (it's not actually forbidden, but it is strongly discouraged). The second reason is that I believe those pages are not ready for the big bad world just yet; specifically, the notability of the various awards is not clearly established. They may be notable, I wouldn't know, but I don't see that the various pages show convincingly that they are. That means that the pages are at risk of deletion in article space. Draft space is a kind of safe haven: there's no urgency, pages are not normally deleted (there are exceptions, such as copyright violations), and you can submit them for review as and when you feel like it. I have a suggestion: instead of creating separate stubs for the various awards, have you considered making a single List of prizes awarded by the Optical Society, with a short section on each prize? Because that would probably solve a lot of problems at once, not least the notability question.
