  • Just a few notes- first is that some of the sources had to be removed. Merchant sources like Amazon cannot be used on Wikipedia because using them can be seen as an endorsement of the merchant site and the product in question. You also need to be careful about claiming that something is the first or only one of its type to do something. The reason for this is that it's usually pretty easily disproven. For example, if we're going by just homosexual characters in YA fiction, the novel Ash features several gay characters and a gay protagonist. Now if you had the sources to back it up you could write something along the lines of "... and is considered by some to be one of the few young adult novels that features a gay adolescent as its action-hero protagonist." The phrasing is the biggest part here because if you make a claim in absolutes it can be easily contested by someone saying that a similar work existed prior to this but never gained coverage and so on. I've summarized the sections and removed quite a bit. It's still a bit long, so it may be re-tagged again. Plot sections are only supposed to be about a few hundred words, which can be difficult when you have books that are very long and/or have exceedingly complicated plots. Other than that, I added in some book reviews, which helped push the book's notability to the "totally notable" level. I'm sure that there are more reviews out there, but what this article could really use is a development section that went more into depth with London's writing and research process, if you're interested in doing this.
