Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Openlearn, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. This article appears to be a direct copy from http://www.open.ac.uk/openlearn/__assets/ivjzidscyqd7cst4m8.pdf (page 2), and therefore a copyright violation. The copyrighted text has been or will soon be deleted.

If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Openlearn with a link to where we can find that note;
  • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on the article Talk page. Alternatively, you may create a note on your web page releasing the work under the GFDL and then leave a note at Talk:Openlearn with a link to the details.

It is also important that the text be modified to have an encyclopedic tone and that it follows Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you would like to begin working on a new version of the article you may do so at Talk:Openlearn/Temp. Leave a note at Talk:Openlearn saying you have done so and an administrator will move the new article into place once the issue is resolved.

Thank you, and please feel welcome to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Happy editing and don't hesitate to contact me if you have any question! -- lucasbfr talk 12:06, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ciao!

[edit]

Thanks for contributing at Caravaggio. Just a note: header mustn't be in capitals, ie. use

Educational resources

instead of

Bye and good work. --Attilios 12:38, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License

[edit]

As I wrote in my message, the problem is a licensing problem. We can't accept material that is not released under the GFDL to Wikipedia for legal and licensing reasons. You can either write an other article in your own words, or release the content of the website under the GFDL with one of the means I mentioned above. I hope I helped you a bit :) -- lucasbfr talk 13:38, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Openlearn moved to article

[edit]

Woops in fact we all missed your new version, it was created in the wrong namespace. (You should have created in Talk:Openlearn/Temp and not Openlearn/Temp, did you follow a link to create the new version?). I moved it temporarily to Openlearn and I will check it later :) Sorry about that! Regards, -- lucasbfr talk 11:31, 14 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Spam Warning

[edit]

Hi Hu12.

As you proabably know I'm a newbie here, did you give me the warning for adding the openlearn page? or are you saying that I added an external link to openlearn? If the latter than can you tell me where because I genuinely don't recall doing so other than in the original openlearn page which I have now rewritten. I'm not questioning your judgement here, just seeking clarification :) Also, I'm a little confused, because if you check the Caravaggio article which I posted an external link to, I receved thanks from the mod. Best wishes--Jinky32 15:09, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
