Moved your test page

[edit]

I have moved your test page from the Wikipedia space to the User space. This was done under the assumption that you are preparing an article and will soon be posting it to the article space. The Wikipedia space is reserved for information about Wikipedia, whereas the User space is for whatever you want as long as it reasonably has to do with Wikipedia. For more information, see WP:PRJ and WP:UP. KuyaBriBriTalk 22:19, 7 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You may access the page at its new location, User:Jimpeoples/Example/John p Healey. KuyaBriBriTalk 22:21, 7 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think I have submitted the article for review... I am not so sure what the next steps will be beyond editing and proofing; specifically, not clear about how it may be posted "to the article space." Any guidance will be appreciated. Jimpeoples (talk) 20:37, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'll go ahead and post it for you. Stand by... KuyaBriBriTalk 20:43, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Done. The article is now posted to the main Wikipedia space (also known as the "article space") at John P. Healey. Good work. KuyaBriBriTalk 20:48, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! Is this the end or just the beginning? Jimpeoples (talk) 20:52, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well that depends on how much effort you're willing to put into it. Ideally all articles are in a continuous state of improvement, so if you find new information, you are always free to revise the article. Additionally, anyone with access to the internet is free to edit the article as well. As it says at the bottom of the edit page, "If you don't want your writing to be edited mercilessly or redistributed for profit by others, do not submit it." Keep an eye on the article, too. Sometimes people with bad intentions will vandalize articles or add libelous information to biographies of living persons. There is a group of editors (myself included) that tries to catch these sort of things, but we can't catch everything. KuyaBriBriTalk 21:04, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Great! Thanks again. Jimpeoples (talk) 21:09, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dropping unneeded user pages

[edit]

on my first day i created some user pages that i do not need now that i have re-organized and re-named my pages. is there a way to drop/delete the unneeded pages?

thx, 65.121.54.1 (talk) 16:38, 9 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

you can put {{db-user}} on the pages. Pseudomonas(talk) 16:43, 9 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
though make sure you're logged in first... Pseudomonas(talk) 16:44, 9 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
