I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. Zimbabwe inflation

[edit]

Hello,

You added an inflation rate of 6.5 × 10108, supposedly sourced from Forbes Asia. Are you sure got that number is correct ? It seems way too high, even for Zimbabwe. Do you have any online link to the Forbes article with that figure ? Passportguy (talk) 12:25, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind. I found a link at zimbabwesituation. Passportguy (talk) 12:34, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

ZIm $ as highest valued currency unit

[edit]

I reverted your edit saying that the Zim dollar was the HVCU yesterday, as there never was an official rate published for the Z4$ on Feb 2. In would have become the HVCU today if the RBZ had published a Z4$ official rate similar to yesterday's rate for the Z3$. However since that didn't happen, the Z4$ never became the highest valued currency, even using official rates. Passportguy (talk) 17:01, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

However on a similar note, the 10 trillion banknote actually was the world's most valuable banknote (using the official rate) on the day it was introduced (slightly more than $5000 if I remember correctly). You might want to add a section to the article to that effect. Passportguy (talk) 17:06, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Of course I didn't remember correctly. On the 16th of January the official rate was 16,744,890 meaning that a 100,000,000,000,000 banknote would have been worth 5,971,971 US$ ! I'm certain that must be an all-time world record. Passportguy (talk) 17:13, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Toilet paper

[edit]

Welcome, and thank you for your attempt to lighten up Wikipedia. However, this is an encyclopedia and the articles are intended to be serious, so please don't make joke edits, as you did to Toilet paper. Readers looking for accurate information will not find them amusing. If you'd like to experiment with editing, try the sandbox, where you can write (almost) whatever you want. -- The Red Pen of Doom 14:13, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on List of Zimbabweans by net worth requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. AfD nomination of List of Zimbabweans by net worth

[edit]

I have nominated List of Zimbabweans by net worth, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Zimbabweans by net worth. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. God Emperor (talk) 17:39, 7 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Category:Zimbabwean billionaires (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs) for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at the discussion page. Thank you. FFMG (talk) 13:09, 6 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article 2009 Spring Championship of Online Poker blinds structure has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Lack of notability; the blinds structures of tournaments in an event don't need an article dedicated to it.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
