Hello, Jhoegger, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as User:Jhoegger/sandbox, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable and have already been the subject of publication by reliable and independent sources.

Please review Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see Requested articles. A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Jhoegger/sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. – DreamRimmer (talk) 09:03, 9 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'm new to editing on Wikipedia, so I apologize if the page I created did not meet the guidelines, I thought that the sandbox was somewhere that only I would see and learn how to use Wikipedia, that is my mistake.

I can see how the page I created could be seen as promotional. I'm trying to create a page for my company, as there is not currently a page for Bayze. Can I create a new page that is focused on the key facts about the company, that it is a Delaware Corportation established August 2023 based in Honolulu, Hawaii. The company is developing data-driven and AI solutions for consumers and businesses.

The company has filed a trademark for the name, it owns bayze.com, bayze.ai, bayze.io, ... it currently has 5 employees and 6 interns through the University of Hawaii Leap Start Program. Is this the type of content that I can create, removing anything that seem promotional or advertising. I would like to use Wikipedia to document the timeline and key events for the company, we are launching the MVP as part of Honolulu Tech Week on September 18th, in a joint event with Google Cybersecurity. After incorporation of the company a year ago, this is a significant event.

I am often asked why the company is called Bayze, I added this in the article that I created. Is this something that I can include?

Do not write about your company. See Wikipedia:When your boss tells you to edit Wikipedia. Deb (talk) 08:24, 10 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also, please place new postings at the bottom of this page. This is meant to keep the discussions in the correct chronological order.
Wikipedia is not a business directory, so a company is not entitled to have a Wikipedia article just because it exists. All topics must be notable by Wikipedia's definition to merit inclusion. In the specific case of a company, it must meet the notability criteria for companies and organizations. For this to happen, the company must have already received significant coverage in multiple reliable and independent sources. We have no interest in what a company wishes to say about itself, as this is an inherent conflict of interest. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 14:39, 10 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
