Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Singin' in the Rain, you may be blocked from editing. Beyond My Ken (talk) 05:26, 1 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Beyond My Ken,

In editing the pages on “Make ‘Em Laugh” and “Singin’ in the Rain,” the only thing I did was to correct the facts, and to cite proof of those facts. The song was NOT written by Comden & Green. It was written by Freed & Brown, who received credit for the song on and off screen. In addition, I cited an interview in which Comden and Green TALK about the fact that they didn’t write the song, and that they were shocked that their boss, Freed, had plagiarized Cole Porter. I fail to see how this is disruptive.

If you have proof that Comden &Green wrote the song, please cite it. Frankly, I believe you are misinterpreting a comment on the Comden & Green notes for the soundtrack CD. It’s an honest mistake, and I’m not accusing you of being disruptive. Wikipedia is about presenting the actual facts, and backing them up with citations to prove them. That’s what I’ve done in this case. Jhlechner (talk) 13:02, 1 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
