Welcome...

[edit]

Welcome!!

Hello, Jezebel Parks, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some useful pages to help you get started:

I hope you'll enjoy contributing as much as I do. When posting on discussion pages, please sign your messages. To do this, type four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

You are seeing this because in my patrols for vandalism, I saw you had edited a page. I also noticed that your talk page (this page) had a red link. That meant that the talk page didn't exist yet. I am sorry you can't eat the cookies, but they are still fresh. If you find a way to enjoy them, let me know. Will (Talk - contribs) 07:04, 17 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Bleach

[edit]

Konnichi-wa, Hitsugaara-san! I proposed a Bleach WikiProject at Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Proposals and thought that you might be interested in voicing your thoughts since you seem to have an interest in Bleach. I'm willing to hear any and all criticism, comments, and ideas to help improve the project. Sadly, though, support for the project seems to be lacking and not many people wish to respond to my desperate cries requests for help. Well thank you for your time, no matter what your answer may be, and happy editing! // DecaimientoPoético 03:37, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:WikiProject Anime and manga/Bleach is now an official task force. If you would like to become a member, just add you name to the appropriate place on the page. Thank you for your support, and happy editing. // DecaimientoPoético 21:28, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Message

[edit]

My Apologies, I'm fairly new to the wikipedia editing process but I wished to put more information on my favorite anime charachter. Please change any of my edits you deem unnecessary or incorrect and I will be sure to place my edits on the preview page from now on.

-iDreamcast

Not at all, really, it's my fault for not checking for facts like ying yang being a misused term for taijitu. I've always liked reading the anime articles with graphics, so I might have gone a bit overboard there too. But don't worry, I've finished adding on about my knowledge of Hao so I won't cause any more mistakes for the page. Thank you for your corrections.

PS-As for Hao's age, I had based it off of the knowledge that Yoh asakura is twenty two years old in funbari no uta. Since the short series takes part seven years after the events of shaman king, I just assumed that Hao was fifteen. Though I did double check that Yoh was 13 when the series began, so I guess they could be of any age between the two numbers.

Could you help me write this article?

[edit]

Hello,

I was wondering if you would be willing to help me write either Seikichi_Iha or Shorin-ryu_Shido-kan. Tkjazzer 21:48, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In Case Closed cleanup...

[edit]

I think the thing that needs urgent attention is the large amount of fancruft and fan speculations in character pages. You may remove those first refore dealing with the more complex things like infoboxes. --Samuel di Curtisi di Salvadori 02:00, 18 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Bleachbeatbest1.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Bleachbeatbest1.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. — Moe ε 02:25, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My Apologies

[edit]

I am very sorry for not specifying a reason or at least requesting the permission to edit the Jimmy Kudo article. However, the few paragraphs that I did remove had no (factual) relation with Jimmy Kudo (Kudo Shinichi). This is a resource page, and fan-assumptions should not misdirect any information concerning a show or its characters. I really would like to apologize, though. I will not tamper with the page again.

Case Closed Soundtracks

[edit]

I only did it because it said music tracks, i didn't know i was messing up the page, and i thought it was a good idea to place the soundtrack lists with the opening and endings, thank you for telling me to stop in advance

will you please hep me, i've been looking for the Detective Conan Original Soundtrack 2 Tracklist and can't seem to find it, do you know where i can get it? - Mcbowser 09:04, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

re: my shaman king edit about volume 33

[edit]

Since you found the same source there's no point anymore. but the reason i did not include a source is because that site also have Current scanlations of Shaman king. And i prefer for it not to get more known to the public. I would much prefer it not be put on the site and not cited that have it put where people will go and get scanlation and some may not support the work of Hiroyuki Takei (creator of shaman king).

But do what you wish...

YuYu Hakusho page

[edit]

I see that you helped with the link for the new Demon Classes page for YuYu Hakusho on the main page, but I will let you know there used to be one long ago but it was deleted. I just wanted to make sure that you know this. -Adv193 07:18, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move for Kurama

[edit]

Dear Jezebel Parks, seems you edit YuYu Hakusho-related pages from time to time. I've started a survey on Talk:Kurama (YuYu Hakusho)#Requested move and you're more than welcome to place your thoughts there, if you'd like. Thank you. Lord Sesshomaru 20:40, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding Hiei, there is no "the" in licensor. FUNImation is one licensor. Remember that VIZ Media licensed the manga and translates "Jaganshi" as "of the Evil Eye" - Also, you need to consider U. S. Manga Corps' version. Using "Jaganshi Hiei" may put favoritism for one version. By the way, Hiei is only rarely referred to as "Jaganshi Hiei" - check Google hit stats. His name is Hiei. I tore the nominator's argument to shreds. WhisperToMe 23:32, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just for future reference, opinions can be dismissed as unfounded and uninformed by people who are informed. It happens all the time. WhisperToMe 23:46, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

One last post: please see the Kurama debate - while Hiei could be argued as that way (and it counts as an "okay" opinion), the "unfounded" rears its head in the Kurama debate, as I demonstrated. WhisperToMe 00:25, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've always been meaning to add info boxes to the Shaman King character pages, but the infoboxes were giving me a hard time. So thanks for starting the process. It's nice to see the articles getting some attention :)

Not a problem. Shaman King is my favorite series (My friends keep calling me "Ghetto-Yoh"). Although I am having a hard time updating the Over Soul article. Someone keeps undoing my information. But it's not a problem. Anything to help out.Reige 00:21, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use disputed for Image:Fullmetal Alchemist OST 3.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Fullmetal Alchemist OST 3.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:18, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Jezebel Parks! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot notifying you on behalf of the the unreferenced biographies team that 1 of the articles that you created is currently tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 412 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Motoki Takagi - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Survey

[edit]

Hi Jezebel!

I have put together a survey for female editors of Wikipedia (and related projects) in order to explore, in greater detail, women's experiences and roles within the Wikimedia movement. It'd be wonderful if you could participate!

It's an independent survey, done by me, as a fellow volunteer Wikimedian. It is not being done on behalf of the Wikimedia Foundation. I hope you'll participate!

Just click this link to participate in this survey, via Google!

Any questions or concerns, feel free to email me or stop by my user talk page. Also, feel free to share this any other female Wikimedians you may know. It is in English, but any language Wikimedia participants are encouraged to participate. I appreciate your contributions - to the survey and to Wikipedia! Thank you! Adrianne Wadewitz Memorial edit-a-thons

[edit]
Adrianne Wadewitz edit-a-thons in Southern New England

As you may have already heard, the Wikipedia community lost an invaluable member of the community last month. Adrianne Wadewitz was a feminist scholar of 18th-Century British literature, and a prolific editor of the site. As part of a worldwide series of tributes, New England Wikimedians, in conjunction with local institutions of higher learning, have created three edit-a-thons that will be occurring in May and June. The events are as follows:

We hope that you will be able to join us, whether you are an experienced editor or are using Wikipedia for the first time.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
