[edit]Hello JessicaH123. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a black hat practice.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:JessicaH123. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=JessicaH123|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. If you are being compensated, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, please do not edit further until you answer this message. - Brianhe (talk) 00:11, 28 August 2016 (UTC)
- I am not being paid directly or indirectly for my edits. I can see that there is some controversy with the "DataCore Software" page. I was trying to get involved in the community and see where I can best start out with my wikipedia contributions. I came across the page as I made my first edits. There is a link to DataCore on Starwind Software and I noticed it was deleted so I decided to get involved in the discussion and see if I could help out. I know I am not incredibly experienced yet, but am hoping to get there one day. JessicaH123 (talk) 20:11, 28 August 2016 (UTC)
Welcome!

Sock puppet account for DataCore
[edit]You're clearly affiliated with DataCore while trying to hide this with doing other sporadic edits. I have to report your activities. NISMO1968 (talk) 03:50, 29 August 2016 (UTC)
- I am not an SPA account for DataCore. Im sorry you feel this way. I guess i should have never got involved in those edits because it seems that anyone who does gets attacked. I will refrain from editing on DataCore if this will make you happy. I did notice on your history as well that you have done few edits outside of the DataCore discussion. Are you an SPA as well?
