re:Native American images
[edit]Thank you. I found each image on the Internet and I am reasonably certain that each is public domain as the subjects in them all died prior to 1923. I'm double-checking them, but I think each is quite safe. Asarelah 04:10, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
Invitation to join Wikipedia:WikiProject Eastern Orthodoxy
[edit]Hi there! I've noticed that you've edited articles pertaining to the Eastern Orthodox Church. I wanted to extend an invitation to you to join the WikiProject dedicated to organizing and improving articles on the subject, which can be found at: WikiProject Eastern Orthodoxy. This WikiProject was begun because a need was perceived to raise the level of quality of articles on Wikipedia which deal with the Eastern Orthodox Church.
You can find information on the project page about the WikiProject, as well as how to join and how to indicate that you are a member of the project. Additionally, you may be interested in helping out with our collaboration of the month. I hope you'll consider joining and thank you for your contributions thus far! —A.S. Adolfas Valeška
[edit]I notice that you added a link to Valeška. I'm working an adding a Wikipedia page about him (in English). It will be located for a while in User:Novickas/Workspace. I would appreciate any contributions you could make, especially with regard to images. I've already contacted lituanus.org about some nice images they have at [1], and also hope to contact some of the churches and synagogues in Chicago that he created stained glass windows for. Sincerely - Novickas 20:20, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
- I'll see what I can do. Somewhere, I have photos from St. Casimir Church in Sioux City, Iowa, which Valeska decorated in the 1950s with paintings, stained glass, woodwork, and decorative arts. Several of those paintings now reside at the Queen of Peace Marian Shrine in Sioux City. Jerry picker 23:48, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
- That would be wonderful, thanks Novickas 12:43, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

A useful addition, but please avoid WP:COPYVIO. "Icon painter" is better than "Iconographer" in English. Johnbod 15:39, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
