I'm sorry this isnt meant to advertise the business more about getting it online a resource as a publicly known company and resource much like wix or squarespace. is there anything i can to do to help with that contribution, i want to be able to log, updates from it inception to now as a timeline resource. Jeremyhphotobiz (talk) 13:37, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
What you're describing is promotion. You may not use Wikipedia to publicize your business. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 17:05, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
so how do business like Wix and Squarespace have contributions? Jeremyhphotobiz (talk) 17:24, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
A company is not entitled to have a Wikipedia article just because it exists. All topics must be notable by Wikipedia's definition to merit inclusion. In the specific case of a company, it must meet the notability criteria for companies and organizations. For this to happen, the company must have already received significant coverage in multiple reliable and independent sources. Wix and Squarespace have met these criteria; your company has not.
In short, you cannot use Wikipedia for your company to gain notability. The company must be already notable to considered worthy of inclusion.
In addition, it is a major conflict of interest to write about any topic where you have a close association (your company, your friends, your family, even yourself). --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 17:44, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
understood.
- so more PR content required.
- and must be provided by 3rd party not someone who knows the company. Jeremyhphotobiz (talk) 18:42, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No, we don't want any PR content on here. Articles summarize what reliable and independent sources have chosen to write significantly about your company, without any financial inducement.
Yes, articles should be written by third parties who have no relationship to the company.
Please see Wikipedia:FAQ/Article subjects because I think a lot of your questions are answered there. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 19:19, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
thats what i meant unsolicited resources for publizied content. thank you Jeremyhphotobiz (talk) 19:22, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Draft:PhotoBiz, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because it has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  • Provide a new username.

To do this, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can search to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is still available.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 13:12, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
