Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Jensentheory. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Jdcomix (talk) 15:07, 1 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Thanks! The article will
absolutely be impartial and on facts only :) Jensentheory (talk) 15:16, 1 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
In case you were not aware, Wikipedia has criteria by which subjects have to meet to be included. For a person, they must meet the notability criteria for people, and if the person is alive, the strict policy on biographies of living persons.
Notability is proven by showing evidence of significant coverage in multiple reliable and independent sources. Please note that this disqualifies sources like social media, an individual's official website, interviews with them, or their own unpublished personal knowledge or experience.
In addition, we highly discourage people from writing about themselves, for reasons explained at Wikipedia:Autobiography and "Wikipedia is not about YOU". --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 17:42, 1 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
