Hello, I'm Dawn Bard. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions to Glass Eye Pix because it appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Glass Eye Pix. While objective prose about beliefs, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. {{help me}} Hi Dawn, I want to apologize for posting promotional-sounding text to the Glass Eye Pix page. I am a new editor. I noticed that the page's information was not up to date and thought I could update it directly. After receiving your messages I realize this was not the best practice. I have spent time learning Wikipedia’s policies and I realize I have a conflict of interest with this page. Moving forward, I will definitely use the talk pages when I notice a page that I have a COI with needs updating. In regards to the current state of the Glass Eye Pix page, is there any way at all for the COI and advert tags to be removed? Everything currently written on the page is factual, and I can back up any claims with third-party sources. Thank you so much for your help and your patience. I would like to become an active member in the community and feel I can bring a lot to pages, especially ones in WikiProject Film. I will not make the same mistake again. Alright, thank you for realizing your mistakes. Happy editing! Vacation9 17:31, 21 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
