Why are you here?

  1. You are hacked off because I nominated one of your articles for deletion - This isn't the place to discuss it, I strongly suggest taking it up in the appropriate AfD discussion or on the articles talk page.
  2. You are replying to a message I left on your talk page - Don't reply here! Reply on your talk page, I'll be watching!
  3. You want to discuss an article - If it is an article I have previously contributed to, it is likely to be on my watchlist, consider starting a discussion there instead, it may generate more discussion from outside parties.
  4. You think I'm harassing you - Unlikely. I have over 20,000 pages on my watchlist, including every UK place, road, bus operator and bus route (and most rail articles). If you edit the same group of articles, we are bound to bump into each other!
  5. You actually wish to talk to me - Welcome! You are in the right place, start a new discussion at the bottom of the page!

The talk page

Hi. I noticed you undid my removal of an unreferenced trivia section form this article. I suggest finding some reliable sources and/or a talk page consensus if it is important to you to keep it. Failing that I intend to remove it again in a few days. Best wishes, --John (talk) 00:45, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I know you have deleted my key routes section on this article. How can I (or someone) modify the existing list to show the key routes, i.e coloured font to show the route-branded ones. Also, why was the section deleted. Reply on my talk page. --Dennisman (talk) 18:02, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Strensham services

[edit]

Dear Jenuk1985

I have just read what you wrote as your edit summary for when you removed a speedy delete banner from Strensham services. You noted that "many other service station deletion attempts have failed". I just wanted to warn you that two AFDs were held for this article, and both resulted in a 'delete' verdict due to lack of notability. I am not saying this because I intend to nominate the article for another AFD. I just thought I should warn you to suggest that you work quickly on trying to prove that the service-station is notable, as I believe it is open to another 'delete'-verdict AFD on the basis of the other two. Terrakyte (talk) 02:38, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Lol. Don't worry, I have no intention of "mad tagging". Well done for improving the article. Terrakyte (talk) 02:41, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Barnstar

The Original Barnstar
Examining your contributions, I have determined that you have done very good work for UK roads-related articles. You deserve this for that. I hope you keep up the great work. Terrakyte (talk) 18:03, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

My Life Would Suck Without You

[edit]

Care to explain how the original concerns in the original AFD have been addressed?—Kww(talk) 21:29, 20 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

To quote the original "Delete votes":
"Delete as it can be created once it actually is a released single and gets on the charts. Assuming it will be before it happens falls under crystal ball. The article itself has a fake album cover art that a FAN created on a fan message board, there is no information officially released other than a drop date for the single, meaning, not enough to make a page with yet anyway" - The single has now been released, addressing that concern.
"Delete: notability not established yet, WP:CRYSTAL." and "Delete per JamesBurns, we don't make assumptions like "will be notable soon"." - Again now released.
This isn't a debate I have been involved in, or particularly interested in, so this is the viewpoint of someone "on the outside", please respect that. Looking at the original AFD discussion, consensus was hardly reached anyway. jenuk1985 (talk) 21:39, 20 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It's the "gets on the charts" part that is the sticking point. That was a part of the original nomination, the nomination asserted that NSONGS was the notability to meet, and NSONGS looks for charting, awards, or covers. It's moot, now ... the article has been deleted by an admin as a repost.—Kww(talk) 21:43, 20 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Crank Vandelism

[edit]

Crank_(film) was vandalized and I used "undo" to get rid of it. You undid my undo, putting the vandalism back. If you have any doubts about it being vandalism, look at the other edits done by the person.

I also received a message from you saying I wasn't being "constructive". Nice. Juventas (talk) 02:39, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies, something must have gone wrong in the recent changes script. No harm intended! jenuk1985 (talk) 02:41, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
NP. I figured it might be scripted by the quickness of it, but I wasn't even aware such a thing was possible here. Thanks for clarifying.Juventas (talk) 08:43, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey thanks for the welcome. I didn't actually realise there was an official defininition to Primary Destination until after I made the edit then forgot to revert it, thanks for letting me know anyway :) L-Tyrosine (talk) 21:31, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"UK Roads articles should only use miles"

[edit]

Would you care to point out the WP: article that declares such a thing? Becuase I would be astonished if there is one. Wikipedia is an international encyclopedia, and uses the {{convert}} template extensively. All UK engineering and construction, but specifically of roads, uses metric exclusively. The edit that I made left the original editor's version as the first given, but gave the conversion. For you to have undone it is sheer POV. --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 21:29, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have switched your recent edit to use miles first for consistency, as is the case on other UK roads articles, see WP:MOS jenuk1985 (talk) 22:27, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 01:03, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
