Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Jeffree Star has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. I removed the following link(s): http://www.facebook.com/jeffreestar.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Virginitycover.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 02:06, 15 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:JeffreeSequin.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:JeffreeSequin.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. In order for File:Jstar American Flag.jpg not to be deleted, the original owner of the photo, Allan Amato, would have to email the Wikipedia volunteer response team by following the procedure found at WP:CONSENT. Hello Jeffreesworld. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Jeffree Star discography, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about following the reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you.

Your recent editing history at Jeffree Star discography shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Editing problems

[edit]

Hello. Unfortunately you seem to have misunderstood the nature of Wikipedia. this edit shows that you are attempting to use Wikipedia to impose a particular person's preferred account of himself on a Wikipedia article. Wikipedia is not an advertising service, or a medium for people to publish material to promote the account of themselves they want to be known. A Wikipedia article needs to be written from a neutral, third party, point of view. In the edit I have linked to, you even show that you wish to have an editor banned from editing because that editor edits in ways that conflict with the point of view you wish to impose. That is not how Wikipedia works: Wikipedia is a collaborative enterprise, and we do not ban people in order to allow other people to impose their version of an article. On the contrary: an editor who tries to impose their own view, or to abuse Wikipedia by using it a a medium for promoting a particular person's preferred account, is likely to be blocked from editing. You have, in fact, an unambiguous conflict of interest, as described above. In addition, there are other problems, including, as explained above, edit warring. Furthermore, this suggests that the account exists to represent an organisation, which is contrary to Wikipedia's policy. That fact alone would be sufficient grounds for the account to be blocked from editing.

Since this account is being used only for editing which, in several different ways, contravenes Wikipedia policies and guidelines, it has been blocked indefinitely from editing. If you think you have valid reasons for being unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

I have no doubt that you came here in good faith, not realising that what you were doing was contrary to Wikipedia's accepted standards, and the block is not intended to be punitive. It is a common misunderstanding that "anyone can edit Wikipedia" means "anyone can use Wikipedia for their own purposes", but it does not. It means something more like "anyone can make contributions to the encyclopaedia in a neutral way, in collaboration with others". JamesBWatson (talk) 09:36, 5 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
