Hi Jeff G.!
Thank you for reviewing my page Draft:Biscay Bay Startup Campus! :) It's my first one and I am a little bit lost. I am not related to the organization. I created my account because I want to start creating pages about startups related things. Should I request a name change? And will the page Draft:Biscay Bay Startup Campus be published or it will be deleted because of the confusion?
Thank you!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by B4startups (talk • contribs) 15:00, 11 February 2020 (UTC)
- @B4startups: Hi. You should tag the draft {{subst:submit}} when ready. I untagged it as a COI and reordered the references for you. — Jeff G. ツ 09:09, 12 February 2020 (UTC)
Jeff G. left you a message on Wikipedia
Hello Jeff G. I received an email this morning from you - "Hello, MarklenKennedy. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written a..."
Thank you for the heads up but I haven't been to the Wikipedia page on me in years not since I was first told that I could not correct my own page when I noticed an incorrection. And I never wanted to jeopardize the site or its community standards. So I am not sure what this is about. Is there something I need to do? Or?
Thank You again for the message.
Sincerely, Marklen — Preceding unsigned comment added by MarklenKennedy (talk • contribs) 20:32, 12 February 2020 (UTC)

New Page Reviewer newsletter February 2020
Hello Jeff G./Archives/2020,
- Source Guide Discussion
The first NPP source guide discussion is now underway. It covers a wide range of sources in Ghana with the goal of providing more guidance to reviewers about sources they might see when reviewing pages. Hopefully, new page reviewers will join others interested in reliable sources and those with expertise in these sources to make the discussion a success.
- Redirects
New to NPP? Looking to try something a little different? Consider patrolling some redirects. Redirects are relatively easy to review, can be found easily through the New Pages Feed. You can find more information about how to patrol redirects at WP:RPATROL.
- Discussions and Resources
- There is an ongoing discussion around changing notifications for new editors who attempt to write articles.
- A recent discussion of whether Michelin starred restraunts are notable was archived without closure.
- A resource page with links pertinent for reviewers was created this month.
- A proposal to increase the scope of G5 was withdrawn.
- Refresher
Geographic regions, areas and places generally do not need general notability guideline type sourcing. When evaluating whether an article meets this notability guideline please also consider whether it might actually be a form of WP:SPAM for a development project (e.g. PR for a large luxury residential development) and not actually covered by the guideline.

Conflict of Interest
Hi Jeff, thanks for your message :) I tried to reply directly, but don't think it sent to you. I'm very new to Wiki and so still tentatively finding my feet :/ Hopefully this talk page message will deliver. Thanks for your advice, yes I am connected to Cathal Crowe; he is my brother. I had read up on Wiki's policy about conflict of interest and had hoped that I struck a neutral tone. I tried to include as many references as possible. I certainly appreciate your offer of help. How do I send you a draft? Is it here on this talk page or via email? Yvonneclare2020 (talk) 18:18, 18 February 2020 (UTC)Yvonneclare2020
- @Yvonneclare2020: You're welcome. Your first reply didn't go directly to me, I just leaned about it from you second reply above. Ideally, you should post in a new section on Talk:Cathal Crowe. — Jeff G. ツ 03:23, 19 February 2020 (UTC)
- @Jeff G.: I've added my draft to Talk:Cathal Crowe now. Just the paragraphs I added, not the introductory piece, which was added by someone else unknown to me. I'd really appreciate if you could take a look at it :) Yvonneclare2020 (talk) 09:33, 19 February 2020 (UTC) Yvonneclare2020
(Andybasil (talk) 10:32, 28 February 2020 (UTC)) I've been trying to get to know how to edit/create on Wiki. I've used EIFA International School London because my wife works there, though I can't think why that would be a conflict of interest or if it were, why anyone would bother to write anything about anything? All the information I've used has come out of their brochure. I've just made edits and published?? Do I need to submit a draft for your approval? Really confused.. Help appreciated

- @Andybasil: Their brochure is copyrighted and is not an independent reliable source. Your family is financially dependent upon them. — Jeff G. ツ 10:41, 28 February 2020 (UTC)
(Andybasil (talk) 10:58, 28 February 2020 (UTC)) Hi.. so have I wasted my time editing the page? I'm only interested in editing pages I have an interest in and I haven't copied their brochure text, just taken details out of it. I don't understand what I've done wrong. I used a page for Ash Sarkar as inspiration and I don't believe anyone but her has created that content? Please help.

- Please review the conflict of interest policy. Aside from the copyright issue, Wikipedia should only summarize what independent reliable sources state about a subject, not what the subject says about itself(such as in its marketing materials). 331dot (talk) 11:02, 28 February 2020 (UTC)
- @Andybasil: I suggest you bring this up at WP:COIN, and sign the ends of your posts per WP:SIGN. — Jeff G. ツ 11:03, 28 February 2020 (UTC)
- I'll add that I came here because you used a help me tag, if you are contacting another user directly, the help tag is unnecessary. 331dot (talk) 11:04, 28 February 2020 (UTC)
