See Yaohua2000 is tagged on the picture, the classroom is prepared to investigate. As the image use is purely academic in nature, as well as relevant to the parent article.O=MC4 01:06, 9 June 2012 (UTC)
- The problem here is not the image, which is on Commons (but could use a more exact source). The problem here is the talk page here on English Wikipedia. You are free to copy the info on that page to the image's talk page on Commons. — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 01:10, 9 June 2012 (UTC)
- Hello, I am Orschstaffer, User, please see User:Orschstaffer/OrschDraft. Orsch(the school in Gunnison, Colorado, the founder, whom we call Mrs. Jackie, ask me to write an article for Wikipedia. A peruse through the general pages of instructions for doing such gave me the impression (I have since researched and determined differently) that using our 'Orschy language' would be kinda neat. Mrs. Jackie oversees my work and we call this her account, I am her student, and a teacher, in honorary status only. Discovering the conflict of interest I put the article on the back burner so to speak and devised a way to teach new editors (like myself) how to write a feature article. I am considering using all resources and experimental means available to accomplish submitting said OrschDraft as a candidate for feature article. That article is dormant for now, as policy prevails, meanwhile, the User:Orschstaffer/Schoolhouse is a classroom assignment, the classroom is collaborating toward what makes a feature article. I will gladly due whatever steps are necessary toward my goals. I am not affiliated with Orsch under any lawful contracts or bindings and everything I have done for the school has been volunteer and I wouldn't have it any other way. Just like the schoolroom project I wish to propose to the Wiki Foundation under their School Project ane the Ambassador Project. Could you tell me how this is done. I tend towsrd verbosity, my work is visible on wikipedia, wikimedia, wikicommons, wikiversity, albeit thin as I am new. I hope you are not telling me I can't do this. If you are, then I need to know my options. I reviewed your userpage and decided you derserve this explanation, you may review my account User:Orschstaffer and see my progress, I am very close to having a tangible proposal for the Foundation to review my ideas and results and in itself may just be the next featured project. Kindly and respectfully submitted, This is a school project, and a classroom assignment, O=MC4 02:17, 9 June 2012 (UTC)

The article Conférence des Directeurs des Écoles Françaises d'Ingénieurs has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. content removal
Hi, i received a message saying i removed content from a page? This is not true as I have not even heard of the title page to which i have apparently caused some changes to. I have reviewed the changes that I have apparently made and I'm sorry if this may not sound convincing enough, but I do not even recall reading any of the content and on the contrary, I even feel intrigued over the facts which i have just seen. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.121.59.216 (talk) 09:29, 12 June 2012 (UTC)

Great Wagner Conductors
You object to my inserting references to Jonathan Brown's new book on Great Wagner Conductors on the basis that this is advertising or soapboxing. I wholeheartedly support the Wikipedia policy on advertising, but my intention in inserting the references to this book was to enrich the pages concerned. It is a serious, scholarly book, with separate extensively researched chapters for 23 Wagner conductors and a discography for each one, some of whom (viz. Bodanzky, Coates) have no monograph written about them at all, hence the book is of importance to anyone interested in those people. But even for the more general reader on Wagner conductors, Brown's book is precisely the sort of reference that a Wikipedia reader would like to find in the bibliography/references/further reading sections of the webpages of the 23 conductors and related pages, and I would respectfully ask you to reconsider. The structure of the webpages differs, in some cases (Wagner's own page being a case in point) the heading is 'other sources', and a new book is not strictly a source that has been used, but this occurs under a higher level heading 'Sources and further reading', and the insertion is certainly relevant as an item for further reading.Nosnibor (talk) 22:23, 19 June 2012 (UTC)
- How did you learn about that book? Why is it so important to you that it be read by the readers of English Wikipedia? — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 23:18, 19 June 2012 (UTC)
The French certifications won this time.
I will not give up. I checked some of the older entries, and they have 100 times more hits when PROD's than the entire previous 3 months, which is 1 maybe. :P :- ) Don 23:09, 19 June 2012 (UTC)

I moved this entry "1948 Columbia Records introduces the long-playing record album in a public demonstration at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York, New York." from wikipedia.org/wiki/21_June to wikipedia.org/wiki/18_June because in the body of the LP record article wikipedia.org/wiki/LP_album it states: "Columbia CBS Laboratories head research scientist Peter Goldmark led Columbia's team to develop a phonograph record that would hold at least 20 minutes per side.[8] Research began in 1941, was suspended during World War II, and then resumed in 1945.[9] Columbia Records unveiled the LP at a press conference in the Waldorf Astoria on June 18, 1948 in two formats: 10 in (25 cm) in diameter, matching that of 78 rpm singles, and 12 in (30 cm) in diameter.[10] Although they released 100 simultaneously to allow for a purchasing catalogue, the first catalogue number for a ten-inch LP, CL 6001, was a reissue of the Frank Sinatra 78 rpm album set The Voice of Frank Sinatra; the first catalogue number for a twelve-inch LP, ML 4001, was the Mendelssohn Concerto in E Minor for Violin and Orchestra, Op. 64, played by Nathan Milstein with the Philharmonic-Symphony Orchestra of New York conducted by Bruno Walter. These two albums are therefore the first long-players."
I am sorry that I neglected to make an entry in the edit summary box and I apologize if my actions were in any way negative or damaging. --genesee.gbh — Preceding unsigned comment added by Genesee.gbh (talk • contribs) 02:45, 21 June 2012 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Sri Lankan Memes
Hello Jeff G. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Sri Lankan Memes, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: G7 request was not placed by the account that originated the article. Let the AfD take care of it. Thank you. JohnCD (talk) 10:25, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
- It appeared from the article that the user who blanked it (sockmaster Indrajith79 (talk · contribs)) had a similar username to the real name that allegedly posted it in the first place (Indrajith Gamage). It may have been a different usernane, but the same person, as the original poster (Induwa7 (talk · contribs)) is similarly a WP:SPA. — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 12:38, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
Rollback
Hi Jeff. I'm just wondering why you made this rollback edit? The edits you removed were not vandalism and were actually constructive, yet you gave no edit summary at all. Was this a mistake? Remember, rollback should only be used for blatant vandalism; if you undo something that is not vandalism, you must give a rationale. ItsZippy (talk • contributions) 10:50, 21 June 2012 (UTC)

Hi, I removed the section regarding numbers of American casualty's in the Japan Airlines 471 section of the Don Mueang International Airport page as I think it is a bit insensitive to say 16 Americans where killed but make no mention of the nationality of the other victims. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.59.235.34 (talk) 05:38, 21 June 2012 (UTC)

You userpage
Please remove the statement "I will have an unrestricted, irrevocable, world-wide, royalty free right to use, communicate, reproduce, publish, display, distribute, exploit, post, report, and/or ridicule it in any manner I choose," from you userpage. It is not accurate, and as such disrupts the encyclopedia. Thanks. Hipocrite (talk) 13:26, 28 June 2012 (UTC)
- How is it "not accurate"? — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 13:38, 28 June 2012 (UTC)
- You do not have the ability to confirm that the user sending you email through [1] viewed the notice. As such, even if you could bind someone through viewing alone, you cannot confirm said viewing. Hipocrite (talk) 13:46, 28 June 2012 (UTC)
- I believe WMF System administrators (formerly referred to as developers) have access to logs that can confirm said viewing in the case of an actual lawsuit. Also, I did not release the email as if it were my own work, I quoted it and criticized its sender's behavior under fair use. In addition, the sender's email address was already plainly visible on his organization's website, and he had already made a legal threat on-wiki, so I believed he was just forum-shopping and had no expectation of the privacy of his email address or his threatening stance. Furthermore, I did email info-en-q@wikimedia.org per Wikipedia:Contact us/Article problem/Factual error (from subject) on the user's behalf and to protect English Wikipedia, the WMF, and myself; [Ticket#2012062410003829] was assigned and as a result, Dougweller (talk · contribs) asked me to take the original email to ANI in these two posts. I am willing to add to the statement "make derivative works, use in a commercial manner, " if that will help. — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 14:23, 28 June 2012 (UTC)
- No, they cannot confirm any part of your page was read, just that it was accessed. I have removed the offending sentence - if you reinsert it, I'll be forced to seek administrative attention. Hipocrite (talk) 14:58, 28 June 2012 (UTC)

Page required for Speedy Deletion?
Hello,
I've been recently been patrolling new pages and I found this page on a Evan tolkkinen, who apparently is a NFL kicker. I've search his name on google, and I found no suitable matches. I've asked the user to put in a source (it is a biography), but there has been no reply to that, and he's also removed the speedy template (twice). All I ask is for you to verify the problems with the article and confirm or deny the validity of the article, and possibly by deleting it. Thank you for your patience. Regards, RomeEonBmbo 02:06, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
- Also, while I was writing the above message, somebody else posted the article for a Speedy Delete, and for the same reason as I put it up for speedy deletion, G3 (Hoax). Regards, RomeEonBmbo 02:08, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
- Sorry to have wasted your time, but I've already nominated it for Afd. Your help is probably not needed, though it would be nice. Thank you for your patience. The nomination is located here. Regards, RomeEonBmbo 02:32, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for your vigilance, it was speedily deleted before the AfD finished its course. — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 23:52, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
