Dispute

As I stated on my talk page I have tried to convince User:Someone963852 for weeks that he is wrong, but he doesn't listen to me and constantly reverts every edit I make, no matter how small. I am really sick of his bullying (i.e. the fact that he basically owns the zoophilia article now). This issue has been on WP:DR for weeks, but nobody has done anything about it.Plateau99 (talk) 03:42, 1 December 2011 (UTC)

Where on WP:DR? I don't see either of you notifying the other of that discussion on the other's user talk page.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 03:44, 1 December 2011 (UTC)
Exactly. You're not going to get anywhere acting like this. Calabe1992 03:45, 1 December 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for your support. Both users have been blocked for 24 hours due to their edit warring.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 04:12, 1 December 2011 (UTC)
I see now that it is on WP:DRN, specifically at Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard#Zoophilia. I can also see that the other user acknowledged it in this edit. However, to better inform anyone happening on your respective user talk pages, I am about to apply {{subst:DRN-notice|thread=Zoophilia}} ~~~~ to each of them.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 04:01, 1 December 2011 (UTC)

54th Grammy Awards

I think you hit the wrong button here, but thought I would let you know that this guy's already reported at UAA, although the name did give me a laugh. Calabe1992 04:39, 1 December 2011 (UTC)

I meant to hit that button. The user removed "*William Foong Wei-Li" from that article, which may need protection.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 04:41, 1 December 2011 (UTC)

How do I get an article I wrote to appear?

Dear Jeff, Greetings. I need help. I have read and reread many articles about how to post, add a catagory to get an article I wrote on Wikipedia. I am obviously doing something wrong. Here is the article article:http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User:WRWAC

Any help would be appreaciated (WRWAC (talk) 18:31, 2 December 2011 (UTC))

It appears that the best-looking version of the article is at User:WRWAC but it needs verifiable reliable sources and your username combined with the many instances of the word "our" point to a blatant conflict of interest.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 20:03, 2 December 2011 (UTC)

User pages

Hi Jeff G., I was wondering if you would or could delete all of my former userpages on all wikipedia's. Lotje ツ (talk) 07:37, 5 December 2011 (UTC)

Sorry, I cannot, as I have the right to do so on only six WMF projects. Tagging them with {{delete|user request}} should suffice, but why would you want to?   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 13:15, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
Just a question, never mind, but thanks anyway for your kind reply. Lotje ツ (talk) 15:06, 5 December 2011 (UTC)

Look at the article. User3856 keeps undoing peoples work. He even delted the semi-protection from the article. Please cant you do something with him. He has been blocked two times now, but he dont seems to care at all.?? — Preceding unsigned comment added by David-golota (talkcontribs) 18:29, 5 December 2011 (UTC)

That user is now blocked for a week. Please contact the blocking admins if the disruptive behavior continues, and please sign your posts.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 13:51, 6 December 2011 (UTC)

Template:User The Jimbo Finds Me Offensive Barnstar of Infamy has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for discussion page. Bulwersator (talk) 12:26, 6 December 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for the notification, but you could have come to me first. I tagged it G7, as the bad joke has run its course and its originator has demonstrated bad faith.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 13:56, 6 December 2011 (UTC)

A kitten for you!

Today u will have fun

ScienceGeek (talk) 21:48, 8 December 2011 (UTC)

I hope so.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 15:42, 9 December 2011 (UTC)

re: david stern "edits"

i was one of those who played around with david stern's page today. rather than write to complain (it's the first and only time i've ever done somethigg like this, and of course i knew it'd be amended swiftly), i just wanted to commend you on the job you do. it must be at the very least a rather thankless -- if not altogether charged with derision -- position you hold. way to keep at it and stay on top of things. keep up the good fight... perhaps somewhere down the line, i'll see fit to give you a little extra work again ;p

(sorry if this isn't where it's supposed to be!) 202.220.160.194 (talk) 05:49, 9 December 2011 (UTC)

Thanks, but playing around with articles is unacceptable behavior.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 15:41, 9 December 2011 (UTC)

What language is this article in? I couldn't begin to figure out what is going on here. Calabe1992 02:53, 7 December 2011 (UTC)

Someone wrote "Khmer"; Google Translate wrote "Cambodian", but refused to translate; Yahoo! Babelfish doesn't guess.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 03:29, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
It appears to be a direct translation of Bibliography (target of redirect Bibliology), complete with the first six sources.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 20:58, 9 December 2011 (UTC)

THANKS!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bakho (talkcontribs) 21:50, 25 December 2011 (UTC)

You need to provide the source with the edit. Not in the next edit. Not in the next hour. Not in the next day. Please see WP:VRS and WP:BLP.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 22:12, 25 December 2011 (UTC)

Very odd edit (Huggle malfunction?)

What's the deal with this edit? The summary says "Reverted addition of unsourced content and/or unexplained removal of content", but the actual edit completely blanked the page. I've reverted for now pending explanation. Anomie 00:50, 26 December 2011 (UTC)

It was a tool malfunction, sorry.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 04:32, 26 December 2011 (UTC)
No problem, I knew it had to be something of the sort. Anomie 04:53, 26 December 2011 (UTC)

Hmm, certainly no idea why this ended up on your talk page....heh    Thorncrag  05:29, 26 December 2011 (UTC)
I worked on the refs and made the last submission on behalf of the original author. I hope that person can provide more evidence of notability soon.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 16:16, 26 December 2011 (UTC)
You are invited to the National Archives ExtravaSCANza, taking place every day next week from January 4–7, Wednesday to Saturday, in College Park, Maryland (Washington, DC metro area). Come help me cap off my stint as Wikipedian in Residence at the National Archives with one last success!

This will be a casual working event in which Wikipedians are getting together to scan interesting documents at the National Archives related to a different theme each day—currently: spaceflight, women's suffrage, Chile, and battleships—for use on Wikipedia/Wikimedia Commons. The event is being held on multiple days, and in the evenings and weekend, so that as many locals and out-of-towners from nearby regions1 as possible can come. Please join us! 1 Wikipedians from DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Newark, New York City, and Pittsburgh have been invited.
