Please don't edit my userpage
Please don't edit ("clean up") other people's userpages.[1] Some people don't like it, and I'm one of them. Not that I doubt your good intentions! Bishonen | talk 10:14, 8 October 2007 (UTC).
- Sorry, I'll try not to do that again. — Jeff G. (talk|contribs) 10:17, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
You should generally not use AWB to "clean-up" any pages that are not in main space. This means that these edits [2] [3] to RFAs are equally inappropriate. Furthermore, you should only use AWB to make significant edits to articles, per Wikipedia:AutoWikiBrowser#Rules of use. Please stop, or your access will be revoked. --After Midnight 0001 11:21, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry, I'm new to AWB. I'm sorry about those edits. I will not use AWB any more to clean up non-mainspace pages, and will try to restrict it to making significant edits. — Jeff G. (talk|contribs) 18:24, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
- OK, I can see that you are trying, so I'm not going to disable you yet, but your edits are still trivial. You need to stop editing with AWB for a while and read the rules for use and ask questions on the AWB talk page is things are still unclear. --After Midnight 0001 19:15, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
- OK, I will. Thanks! — Jeff G. (talk|contribs) 19:17, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
Hi Jeff G., I think you also performed clean-up on Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Iridescent by accident, which should be kept as it is since it is an archive of a successful RfA. Just wanted to let you know so you can adjust your settings, regards, Kudret abiTalk 23:19, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
- Already adjusted (see above). Thanks! — Jeff G. (talk|contribs) 23:38, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
As a courtesy note, I have also reverted your cleanup. I ditto Bishonen's request. Daniel 01:01, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:Bell System hires 1969 logo blue.PNG)
Thanks for uploading Image:Bell System hires 1969 logo blue.PNG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. βcommand 22:18, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the notice. It's no longer orphaned. — Jeff G. (talk|contribs) 23:18, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
