Science and Tech in Canada
[edit]Hi Jeff,
You did a great job of editing the page for Science and technology in Canada. I was the one who stuck the tags up there and did the initial cleanup of the article, including some linking and such. It looks really sharp. I would like to take some time also as well (and I am more than willing to work on you with this) is to flag the references to online links where possible, and to include reference numbers in the text according to the specific references where they apply.
I can remove the tags, thank you for taking the time to cleanup! You can respond on my Talk page.

Hello. Just to note that in Talk:Diffusion of technology in Canada#Move to Wikibooks instead? I've enteretained the idea of moving your article to Wikibooks in favour of a shorter article on Wikipedia. What do you think? (please reply at my Talk page).
One reason how I stumbled upon the current article is that I was interested in how has computer technology in Canada evolved, with what innovations directly or indirectly attributable to Canada and Canadians. -Mardus (talk) 03:55, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of History of Canadian Society
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article History of Canadian Society, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process.
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. --AbsolutDan (talk) 19:36, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
Social history of canada
[edit]I'm leaving this note to let you know that Social history of canada has been redirected to History of Canada, as it appeared to be an essay and not an encyclopedic article. The content is retained in the history of the article, however, if you wish to continue to work on it. The main issue is the statement that the purpose of the article was to "argue" a point of view. Wikipedia articles do not argue anything. The neutral point of view is the one that merely presents previously published viewpoints. Facts are cited to reliable sources, and opinions are explititly ascribed to their notable promoters. Someguy1221 (talk) 08:05, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
- As you have been made aware before, your treatise was too long for the purposes of Wikipedia articles. Likewise, it was too long for some browers software to handle well. In fact, this article and Technological and industrial history of 20th-century Canada are still too long, but if you want to discuss how it/they could be divided in a better way, this space is for discussing how to improve article(s) and I would be glad to bounce ideas around with you. şṗøʀĸşṗøʀĸ: τᴀʟĸ 3:47 am, Today (UTC−5)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
