Hello - paid contribution disclosure

[edit]

Hello all:

I am a new user and doing my best to follow the Wiki guidelines. Thanks to those of you who have already graciously helped keep me on the right path.

In respect to the full disclosure guidelines, I'm reporting that I am being compensated for any edits you see attributed to JeffRMcCollum involving Rockwell Automation. I am a communications freelancer and am not a regular employee of Rockwell. I am being compensated for bringing the outdated and incorrect information in the company's Wiki page up to date. I expect to be paid in the future for updating traditional business stats as necessary, e.g., number of employees, annual revenue, significant historical events.

I've been involved in journalism, corporate communications, writing, proofing and editing for 35+ years. I've long believed in disclosure and transparency in my work - which is why my username is also my real name.

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!
