Welcome to Wikipedia, Jefchip! I am SarekOfVulcan and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

Well, sorry, but I do not understand how the simple repetition of a boilerplate text explains anything. I believed "talk" to be more than Monty Pythonesque "simple repetition" of a statement. The articles being reverted are significant to an international community – electroacoustics, whose practitioners number in the many thousands. The links are to such items as conference presentations, presented by a range of practitioners, from recognized independent artists, to tenured university faculty and researchers. The links are to an important, internationally recognized journal in the discipline of electroacoustic studies. The home site of the articles is the CEC, which while formed as a national organization has had an international role in the sound art / electroacoustic community for around thirty years. The publication, eContact!, is an important primary research source for those involved and interested in electroacoustic sound from the early 1990s to the present. More than 25 years of history.

Is it the link? The site linked to? The format of the link?

The boilerplate comments are, for me, not helpful in trying to understand how to modify this information so that it can become part of Wikipedia.

It is true, I am not a major editor of Wikipedia articles, but do direct my students to the site because it receives open, knowledgeable contributions. Which is why I am also a financial donor.

I think the request here is to address the question, for each of the reverted articles, as to what specifically is found not to meet the standard.

All the best, Kevin Austin Kaustin6969

Hello. Thanks for your comments, which I have moved to below the notices in question. Wikipedia's policies regarding external links added to articles are outlined at Wikipedia:External links and Wikipedia:Spam. There's a lot there, but it boils down to "some useful relevant links may be suitable, but don't use Wikipedia to promote yourself". I'm afraid that Jefchip's blitz where he/she rapidly added 33 or more links to cec.sonus.ca did appear like typical spam or self-promotion, and therefore were reverted in the usual way. It's up to the editor adding links to justify each and every one of them, including in the edit summary (which Jefchip left blank). He/she should also take the opportunity to try to improve the article in some way to show the relevance of the link instead of simply adding it to the end, especially to an article which already has too many. I have examined some of those links, and I do agree that those ones appear to be high-quality pages and some of them may be relevant enough to the subject to merit inclusion. I suggest the above advice be taken into account before re-adding any links, as any perceived spam is likely to be quickly reverted by one of the many editors who watch for such stuff. Regards. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
