File copyright problem with File:Health Sciences Center for Global Health Blue Logo.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Health Sciences Center for Global Health Blue Logo.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. J Milburn (talk) 15:27, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

- Why can't I edit Wikipedia?
Because Wikipedia does not allow any form of spam or other promotion of people, products, companies or other groups (even non-commercial or charitable ones). Using Wikipedia for such purposes will result in the blocking of the account involved. Please read Wikipedia:FAQ/Organization and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest for our policies about this.
In addition, user accounts are for individuals only, not for companies or groups or other collective editing. Your username should reflect this. Usernames that appear to be promotional (such as those that make reference to a company or product) violate our username policy and are typically blocked to enforce that policy.
- What can I do now?
If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you will not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.
If you do intend to make useful contributions about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:
- Add the text
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
below this message box. - Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
- Tell us what new username you want to use. Please make sure that your new username does not violate our username policy and check that it has not already been taken (click here to search).
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
below this message box and replace the text "Your reason here" with the reason why. See also Wikipedia:Appealing a block for more information. Smashvilletalk 14:47, 16 July 2009 (UTC){{unblock|This page is not for promotional purposes. It is supposed be educational. Please change my user name to smalljessica. I misunderstood the username policy, but I understand the problem now.}}

- I actually removed the portion preventing account recreation. You should be able to create that account. The main reason this one is unacceptable is that it implies it is under control by more than one person. You are free to create your own account, however. --Smashvilletalk 15:00, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
I'm sorry, but I'm not sure that I understand. What did I do to imply that it is being used by more than one person? Do I need to set up a different account?OSUHSCGH (talk) 15:04, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
- The account implies it is in use by the entire OSUHSCGH as opposed to just one individual. If you go through the same steps you used to set up this account and set up and individual account, you will be allowed to edit, as long as it isn't promotional. I haven't blocked your IP, only this particular username...and not through anything you've done wrong, just because it's against username policy to have accounts such as this that imply that more than one person might be using them. --Smashvilletalk 15:09, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
I apologize and understand. Is it possible to change the user OSUHSCGH to smalljessica so that I retain my auto-confirmed user status?OSUHSCGH (talk) 15:10, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
- I'll leave your unblock request up so someone can get to it. I admit that it's not my area of expertise. --Smashvilletalk 15:20, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
I just checked and found a page that says I can do a user name change request by entering the text below, but I couldn't because I got a blocked user, IP, IP address message. How should I resolve this?
OSUHSCGH → Jeds79

{{helpme}}I would like to delete two images. How can I do this? They keep coming up in searches that I do.OSUHSCGH (talk) 12:24, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
- First of all, you were unblocked only to allow you to request a username change. Please do not make any edits outside your user pages until your username has been changed.
- If you are referring to images you uploaded, then you may request a speedy deletion of the images under criteria G7, which allows an author to request deletion of a page he or she created as long as no other substantial content has been added. To do this, add {{db-g7}} to the top of the image pages, and they should be deleted by an administrator.
- If there are images that you have not uploaded yourself that you want to delete, there are two options. If the images meet certain criteria like being redundant, empty, or a copyright infringement, then you may request a speedy deletion. The list of criteria for speedy deletion of a file can be read at Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion#Files. In an image you haven't uploaded doesn't meet one of these criteria, then you can request a deletion at Wikipedia:Files for deletion by following the instructions there.
- Please let me know if there are any more questions. Thanks! --Mysdaao talk 12:57, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
