Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of shopping malls in Roxas, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Roxas (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Speedy deletion declined: Iloilo Business Park

[edit]

Hello Jeb2003. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Iloilo Business Park, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: speedy deletion has already been declined by three different admins. Take to AfD if you like, but DO NOT re-speedy. Thank you. JohnCD (talk) 15:39, 4 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article List of tallest buildings in Iloilo City has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not suitable for a list, topic not shown to have been covered in reliable sources. Also fails WP:CRYSTAL.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Gaisano Iloilo City Center, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. XapApp (talk) 09:31, 13 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia policies

[edit]

Jeb, you are going about this in entirely the wrong way. It's evident that you're misunderstanding a number of fairly key Wikipedia policies - to avoid being blocked again (indefinitely, in all likelihood) you need to address that issue immediately. In an attempt to help you, I'm going to outline the problems that you're encountering below, and suggest a course of action.

  • You know by now, I think, that using multiple accounts isn't allowed, so we'll skip that part.
  • Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. We are not trying to create an exhaustive catalogue of everything that has ever existed, although many people labour under the misapprehension that this is Wikipedia's purpose. Instead, we attempt to create articles on things that are notable: in Wikipedia terms, this means coverage in multiple, reliable, indpendenet sources. Much of what you have created so far has not been supported by such sources, and has therefore been deleted. Things that you think are interesting are not necessarily things that we want or need an article on.
  • Wikipedia is a community. That means that we are expected to work together to create the encyclopedia. You are welcome to put your case to other editors, but you need to engage in a constructive, communal manner - don't assume that anyone who proposes your articles for deletion is your enemy. Maintaining an "I'm right, you're wrong" attitude is counter-productive to the project.

Since you're struggling to come to terms with how Wikipedia works, I would strongly suggest that you look into the adoption program. You can use this to find an experienced editor who can help you get to grips with Wikipedia's policies, and hopefully guide you towards becoming a productive contributor. We would far rather help you out that block you, but you need to show a willingness to improve; working with an adopter would certainly go a long way towards demonstrating that. Jeb, please don't remove CSD tags from articles you've created. It doesn't do you any favours - it just means that more eyes start looking at them and making it more difficult to actually defend your work. Can you please ask yourself this simple question - "Has the Iloilo City Center been in the news?" If the answer's "yes", tell us where in the news. If it's "no", you'll just have to watch the article be speedy deleted. It's definitely not personal. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 12:29, 13 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of one month for your disruption caused by edit warring and violation of the three-revert rule at Iloilo International Airport. During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Your use of multiple Wikipedia accounts

[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Jeb2003, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.
