The article Entrepreneurial Essentials: Unconventional Business Wisdom and Bold Tactics has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable self-published book; notability not established in accordance with WP:NBOOK or WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Writing about yourself

[edit]

Hello James. Another editor tagged the article you wrote for deletion because they felt it doesn't meet Wikipedia's general notability guideline and more specifically, Wikipedia's notability guideline for books. Please refer to both of them for a more detailed explanation.

A more serious matter, though, is that you are writing about your own work - this is called a conflict of interest. Because you are the author of the book, is it reasonable to expect that you are not the best judge of your own notability, nor that of your work. If what you have done in your life is truly notable, as evidenced by significant coverage in reliable independent sources, someone else will write about you eventually. Please refer to Wikipedia's plain and simple conflict of interest guide for further guidance on this matter.

If you truly believe that your work merits an article, you can try the Articles for Creation process. Your article draft will be evaluated by other uninvolved editors, where it can be discussed and improvements suggested. Once the article is refined to everyone's satisfaction, it will be created. Best of luck. --Drm310 (talk) 19:12, 6 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Entrepreneurial Essentials: Unconventional Business Wisdom and Bold Tactics, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an acceptable page. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this page is not blatant advertising, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. You are welcome to edit the page to fix this problem, but please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. As well as removing promotional phrasing, it helps to add factual encyclopaedic information to the page, and add citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the page will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 10:47, 7 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Notability

[edit]

Hey, I thought I'd explain why the article is going to get deleted. The first problem is that the article lacks coverage in reliable sources. It exists, (WP:ITEXISTS) but existing is not notability. I looked to see if there was any coverage and there isn't. We need coverage such as reviews in peer-reviewed journals, newspapers, and the like. I just don't see that out there, which is unfortunately usually the norm for any textbook-type books. Pappas Post doesn't seem to pass our guidelines as for what is considered to be a reliable source since it is more akin to a blog, as it allows for community bloggers. Sites like that almost never pass our guidelines because of this. The other problem is that the article reads like an advertisement for the book. You might not have meant to do this, but it comes across as an ad. It just contains too many buzz words and phrases to sound neutral. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 10:54, 7 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
