Special:WantedTemplates
Hi, would it be possible for you to put // <pre>
at the top and // </pre>
at the bottom of User:Jdlrobson/rl.js? That page is generating six entries in Special:WantedTemplates. You could also use <nowiki>...</nowiki>
or <syntaxhighlight>...</syntaxhighlight>
. By putting the tags inside of comments, it should not impact the functionality, but will prevent the backend software from showing your page in Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:ViewTitle and similar pages. Thanks! Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 18:40, 31 December 2021 (UTC)
- Can you raise a bug on Phabricator? The page has a content type JavaScript. Special:WantedTemplates really shouldn't be picking up JavaScript wiki pages as those cannot contain templates. That's a bug in the software.
- It's going to be tedious for you to have to request this from every user every time it happens, so I'd rather we fixed it at the source.
- I update this wiki page via a script so I'll need to update the code to fix this. Will do that when I'm back at my computer. Jdlrobson (talk) 19:53, 31 December 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks, by my count there are only 14 script pages that are transcluding missing templates. I think phab:T10761 is related. Thanks again. Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 23:37, 31 December 2021 (UTC)
Your edit to Eigenvalues and eigenvectors
Hi, I wanted to let you know I reverted your edit to Eigenvalues and eigenvectors because wrapping the transformations table for mobile scrolling caused the header row text to be rendered about 1.5 lines lower, overlaid over the contents of the table's 2nd row. I observed this issue on desktop Safari v15.2. I took a screenshot of the observed behavior if there's a way for me to get it to you. Regards, — sbb (talk) 16:07, 19 January 2022 (UTC)
I think the mobile issue I reported is likely worse...? The whole article is unreadable
https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/F34924615
I'm happy to look into the issue on desktop further but I think we should at least make the article usable on mobile devices first? Jdlrobson (talk) 15:52, 20 January 2022 (UTC)
Special:WantedTemplates
Hi, I have been cleaning up Special:WantedTemplates and noticed that your javascript page is showing up in Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:Collection.description. This is because the backend software is parsing the curly braces as templates. An easy way to fix this is to put
// <nowiki>
at the top of your script, and
// </nowiki>
at the bottom of your script. This won't impact the functionality, since they are in javascript comments, but will remove the pages from Special:WantedTemplates. Thanks in advance for your help! Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 13:56, 5 November 2022 (UTC)

vector-max-width-toggle.js
Hi Jdlrobson, it's "not longer needed" as you wrote in the source code. But using it actually prevents the user menu on the top right (the figure with dropdown) from working on most pages, at least for me. I had the JS still included, and when I mouseover the dropdown menu it collapses automatically. Maybe commenting out the code to prevent people from using it would be a good idea? Windharp (talk) 11:22, 9 March 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for the reminder. I've blanked the script which seems like the best idea here. Jdlrobson (talk) 01:24, 10 March 2023 (UTC)
