I have a few important points about this article.

  1. For starters, do you happen to know the subject? If so, you have a conflict of interest, which needs to be disclosed. Additionally, if you have been paid for you edits, you must disclose that by following the steps at WP:PAID.
  2. The new version of the page you created has various problems. For one, it was almost entirely sourced to Schwartz himself. Content regarding living persons needs a reliable source, which needs to be independent of the subject. Thus we need papers and articles about him, not written by him. Also, any sources that discuss medical issues need to be much better than usual, per our guidelines at WP:MEDRS.
  3. The new version was also highly promotional, and not written in an encyclopedic tone.

If you wish to improve the article, I suggest you create a draft version in your userspace or your sandbox, such as User:Jdelemontex/Laurent Schwartz, and then have an experienced user look over it before adding it to the article. For the time being, I ask that you not edit the article further until we get some of these issues smoothed out. If you do edit the article inappropriately again, I will need to remove your editing access to that page. CaptainEek Edits Ho Cap'n! 23:08, 28 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@CaptainEek: I understand perfectly well why you did a wholesale revert, but I restored Schwartz's portrait (own work by Jdelemontex, upload reviewed through OTRS). I would be interested to know though is whether Jdelemontex and Olivten (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) are the same account or is Jdelemontex just restoring content that is very similar to what Olivten added (23 October 2019). Politrukki, Thanks for restoring the image, I had intended to do so and it got away from me. If you think they might be the same user, that is a question better asked at WP:SPI. CaptainEek Edits Ho Cap'n! 06:10, 29 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Let me rephrase that: I don't wish to know whether they are the same account, I just wish they aren't, and I wish Jdelemontex knows that using multiple accounts to avoid scrutiny is against policy. Olivten has not edited since October, so it would be a colossal waste of everybody's time to run a formal investigation when there's basically nothing to investigate. Hello, Jdelemontex. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Laurent Schwartz".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. If you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. plicit 14:39, 30 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
