Vanity articles

[edit]

Please don't create articles about yourself or your friends. We're building an encyclopedia here, and it's very unlikely that your article fits in with that. Creating such articles also makes work for others as we rush to delete them. The Wikipedia policy on vanity articles can be reviewed here and here and the reason your article was deleted can be reviewed here. If you need any more information about this, please visit this page. Thanks.ЯEDVERS 15:41, 11 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I did notice your advice to yourself: Blow Your Own Horn. Sorry, please do not blow it on Wikipedia. -- RHaworth 15:04, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Duplicates

[edit]

As a sidenote please also do not copy-and-paste the same content to multiple pages. Redirecting makes the articles much easier to handle and edit, see Help:Redirect. Aranherunar 15:46, 11 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Jeffdavidson.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ЯEDVERS 15:47, 11 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Asking questions

[edit]

You can get help from other users by putting the {{helpme}} template beside your question. HighInBC(Need help? Ask me) 18:45, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Blanking project page [1]

[edit]

Please don't blank project page archives such as this. If you have something to say, use the discussion page. Pseudomonas 10:06, 9 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

User review and assistance

[edit]

User review is not the appropriate place to request assistance. If you need help advocating your position, WP:AMA may be able to help. If you're looking for advice and general assistance you can always put {{helpme}} on your talk page. Be well!! Vassyana 11:27, 9 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
