Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Jbb10020, and welcome to Wikipedia!
It appears that you may have a conflict of interest with the topic you wish to edit, such as your edits to Janet Bennion. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article.
To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or any other editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.
One firm rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)
In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms our use and policy on paid editing.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. Janet Bennion
[edit]Hello,
As there is a Wikipedia article about you, at Janet Bennion, I would like to invite you to:
- Supply a photo of you, if we don't have one already
- Make a recording of your spoken voice
- Tell us about your ORCID iD (you can register yourself for one) and any others you may have
You can read more at Wikipedia:About you. Seagull123 Φ 15:29, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
Seagull123, I really do appreciate help but I am ignorant of the process. I wish I could just attach the photo and reference via email. Is that possible?
- Hi Jbb10020, if you have a photo of you saved on your computer or phone which you own the copyright to (such as you took the photo yourself), then you can go to the Upload Wizard on Wikimedia Commons (which is where most photos on Wikipedia are saved) and upload it through the form there. As far as I'm aware, it's unfortunately not possible to send a photo by email to be uploaded; however, you may want to ask at the Help Desk at Wikimedia Commons, as users there will know more about this issue than I do (here: c:Commons:Help desk). You should be able to use your account here on Wikipedia to login to Commons (if it doesn't login automatically). Seagull123 Φ 17:44, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
- Hi, Janet, the Commons:Wikimedia OTRS release generator appears to have an option to email the photo afterward. But that’s only applicable if you own the copyright (or are an authorised representative for the company that owns the copyright). Is your situation more like "I have received permission from the original author (not me) to upload the file to Commons" described at commons:OTRS#Licensing images: when do I contact OTRS?? — Pelagic ( messages ) – (21:46 Sun 31, AEDT) 10:46, 31 January 2021 (UTC)
Thank you for all your help. I also wrote to Seagull123 but I'll repeat my request here. I need help updating my photo, https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/File:Bennion_photo.jpg, and seek to add the Polygamy Question and my new work on polyamory in Paris https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.1177/1363460720975328 Jbb10020 (talk) 15:46, 31 January 2021 (UTC)
