The article Distillers of alcohol in India has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- A personal essay full of |original research and lacking any sources so unverifiable. Appears to be a copy of a previously deleted article under this or another name - note the tag dates which predate the creation of this article
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Sparthorse (talk) 14:36, 23 October 2011 (UTC)

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Distillers of alcohol in India until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Sparthorse (talk) 14:45, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
Placing irrelevant content on pages
[edit]Please stop placing irrelevant content into your article. As you said in your edit comment this comes from a completely different and unrelated article. It has no place in Distillers of alcohol in India. Continuing to place irrelevant content in the article could be seen as disruptive and may result in you being blocked. Thanks, Sparthorse (talk) 14:59, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
Caste sanctions
[edit]Please note that there are sanctions in operation for contributions made to caste articles and that your recent contributions at Kalwar are in breach of various policies and guidelines, including but not limited to WP:MOSFLAG, WP:CIRCULAR, WP:V, WP:MOSHEAD and WP:OVERLINK. If it were merely issues of style - as some of those guidelines are - then I would simply fix the issues but the problems relating to verification are unacceptable. Please do not reinstate this material without some decent verification. The notice below explains the sanctions. Thanks. - Sitush (talk) 14:29, 20 March 2012 (UTC)
Greetings, while your interest is appreciated, and your adherence to footnoting standards is very much appreciated, I'm unclear on what your intent was for the edits at Kurmi, and had some concerns about both the lede and the Etymology section. Accordingly, given the sensitivity of caste articles, I've reverted the edits, but am immediately contacting you to suggest it be brough up for discussion at Talk:Kurmi. My primary concerns:
- We've had a general trend to not include varna in the ledes of articles, as it tends to be a very complex topic and not easily summarised as "Caste X is maybe Vaishya, maybe Kshatriya".
- The edits you made at etymology seemed a bit redundant in mentioning krishmi again only two sentences after it was discussed, and also I'm not clear on the speculation as to the tortoise imagery.
In any case, excellent work providing footnotes, the hallmark of a good editor, but I'm just not sure that the edits pushed the article in the direction we should go. Would you mind coming to Talk so we can get input from several editors familiar with the course of the article (and its many past problems) to gain consensus? MatthewVanitas (talk) 14:38, 30 March 2012 (UTC)
- Since at this point 3 separate editors have reverted you, you should not be trying to force the information into the article. Please self-revert, and discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Fowler&Fowler has started a discussion there. I've added questions for F&F, because while I understand that you are stating something as fact that is openly debated (as shown in the sources already in the article), I'm wondering if perhaps part of what you want to add should be included. However, it is never correct on Wikipedia to edit war to try to keep a version you prefer, even if you are completely certain that it is right. The best thing right now is for you to self-revert, and then discuss on the article's talk page, and, if necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Qwyrxian (talk) 07:28, 2 April 2012 (UTC)
Be more careful with spelling/caps/spacing
[edit]Greetings, you recently renamed some pages and made a dab page. Fine, but note that you moved a page to "Kalwar(indian caste)". Note that "India" is a proper noun and thus capitalised, and there is a space before parentheses. Accordingly, I moved the title to "Kalwar (Indian caste)". Please be more careful with spelling and punctuation. MatthewVanitas (talk) 14:35, 31 March 2012 (UTC)
WP:3RR
[edit]Please be aware that you have reached the upper limit of WP:3RR, the three revert rule, on Kurmi. Please discuss the issues on the Talk:Kurmi page instead of edit warring. Should you continue to edit war, you could face sanctions such as blocks. All the best, Fowler&fowler«Talk» 10:54, 2 April 2012 (UTC)

[edit]Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 10:58, 2 April 2012 (UTC)
Make only something which is needed as an article. The 3RR is for reverting someones edit on a page more than three times.

Speedy deletion declined: Raja Hasan
[edit]Hello Jaychandra. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Raja Hasan, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The reason given is not a valid speedy deletion criterion. Thank you. ϢereSpielChequers 19:57, 6 April 2012 (UTC)
I have declined your latest speedy deletion request at Raja Hasan, as the article does not appear to be written in a promotional tone to me. Please note that once a speedy deletion request has been declined, you must not make a new one - you would need to request deletion at WP:AfD. Also, I have removed the "advert" and "resume" tags you added, because the current version of the article does not appear to look like either of those. If you believe there is something specific that is written like an advert or like a resume, please explain specifically what it is on the article's Talk page. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 09:07, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
Kurmi and edit warring
[edit]You knew that your proposed edit was against the consensus at Talk:Kurmi. I understand that you don't agree with that consensus, but you should not just try to make the same edits that were already rejected. Doing so is edit warring, even though it's very slow. Please wait for the RfC to finish; if you still disagree with the consensus, pursue other forms of dispute resolution at that time. Qwyrxian (talk) 02:48, 26 April 2012 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for April 27
[edit]Hi. When you recently edited Patel, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Korie (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Speedy deletion nomination of Jaiswar
[edit]A tag has been placed on Jaiswar requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G6 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an orphaned disambiguation page which either
- disambiguates only one extant Wikipedia page and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic); or
- disambiguates no (zero) extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
